ok here quick #luceferth where luke is a seer. "his beauty blinds you like the sun, yet he has all the darkness of the night".
luke was taken by a sword dane for his powers against his will, and foresaw his lord being slain by a band of warriors, and amongst them, a saxon monk
expanding on this a little
the dane lord who took luke made him kill and use the blood and heart of a saxon priest to strengthen his powers and it worked. also it's believed that his powers are his as long as he remains a virgin
similar to iseult. he can see the future, cast spells, throw curses etc. luke is not too hot about serving his lord bc he never chose to follow & he's a coward and also weak minded so luke never shares his visions fully
he foresaw the death of his lord by the hands of uhtred and co. he also saw osferth amongst them, and he believes this saxon monk will be the answer. and so he waited them to come find him, as he wanted to follow them out of his on free will
uhtred and the boys are wary to say the least bc of what happened with skade. "let me follow you and i shall throw no curses nor spells," luke says. he also completely ignores uhtred and makes a beeline for osferth immediately, to everyone's surprise
luke insists on riding with osferth, when its time for him to wash he insists that osferth be the one to watch him, etc. no one knows exactly what luke wants, and to prevent a skade size disaster from happening osferth does as he's asked to keep luke happy. stay tuned for more

#luceferth seer!luke tlk verse, neither accurate nor scientific description of an inter/sex character, because i made all of this up.
"do i unnerve you, monk?" the seer- lucerys- throws the question over his shoulder at osferth, to which osferth wants to say yes.
in every way, osferth thinks, from your beauty "that blinds you like the sun," as they say, to the way your blood stained fingertips ghosted over my face, the way you whispered words i could not understand into my ear. but he does not say it. "no," he lies.
"i knew a seer once, and she was the devil herself. i do not fear you."
luke huffs a laugh. "is that what you think? what your scriptures taught you? that i am evil, that i am of the devil? only because you don't understand what i do, what i can do?"
tom spots him lingering around the gas station corner store, counting his change in front of the rusty payphone that probably no longer works and smells like piss.
quite a sight, tom thinks, a boy in his private school uniform all prim and proper, socks pulled up to his knees, not a hair out of place, trying to operate a rusty payphone. it intrigues him.
"hey, you," he calls, and the boy turns around, dark hair bouncing. "yeah, you."
the boy regards tom warily. expected, really, stranger danger and all that, and tom in his wife beater and leather jacket, half burnt cigarette in his mouth and a hand in the pocket of his ripped jeans might very well be just the thing good little schoolboys are told to avoid.
"we'll track them, find the camp. try and salvage what you can. we ride tonight," uhtred says. he inspects another burned down shed, making a face. "danes venturing this far past watling street. something isn't right."
"you think they're brewing something, lord?"
"lord? lord!"
"osferth?" uhtred calls, stepping inside a ruined house. "you've found something? someone, rather."
"yes, lord."
sitting on the ground, dirtied and shaking, is a boy. in his hands, a knife. he points it at uhtred, then osferth. "are you danes or saxon?"
