NEW APEX LEGENDS CLASS SYSTEM:
Assault, Skirmisher, Recon, Controller, Support
ASSAULT: Mad Maggie, Ash, Bangalore, Revenant and Fuse
Can carry 1 extra "stack" of ammo per stack, for example 80 light ammo instead of 60
Can open "Red Bins" with a secret compartment - only Assault can open these - contains Smart Loot with Weapon Attachments
SKIRMISHER:
Valkyrie, Wraith, Mirage, Horizon, Octane and Pathfinder. Can take a look at incoming care packages and see what the most valuable item inside of it is as it’s in the sky. This can also be communicated to their team with a ping.
RECON: Crypto Seer Vantage Bloodhound
Can scan new variant of Survey beacon to see all enemies on the map for 30 seconds - sort of like Cryptos Map Room
CONTROLLER: Catalyst, Wattson, Caustic, and Rampart
Can scan something called a "Ring Console" which allows them to see where the next ring will pull, like Survey Beacons in previous seasons
Ring Console that can be scanned by Controller Legends to get the next Ring Information
SUPPORT: Newcastle, Lifeline, Loba, and Gibraltar
All Support Legends can now open the Blue Bins , and most importantly. SUPPORT LEGENDS CAN NOW CRAFT FALLEN TEAMMATES BANNERS FROM A REPLICATOR FOR 30 MATERIALS
Even if they were timed out
SEER: Passive now ONLY shows enemies when you aim over them AND they leave a heartbeat - meaning you need to scan a lot more thoroughly to find them. Enemies can now hear an audio cue if they get scanned by an enemy Seer.
Ultimate has a higher cooldown and lower duration
BLOODHOUND: Scan on Tactical no longer refreshes or speeds up when using Bloodhound's ultimate. Instead, Bloodhound can find White Ravens on the map that when interacted with guide them to nearby enemy teams
WRAITH: Portal now Twice as long up to 150 meters, she moves faster the further away the portal goes.
PATHFINDER: Zipline now twice the range, and goes twice as fast. Pathfinders ziplines now look different from normal Ziplines
HORIZON: Now inaccurate in the Tactical, But you now go up the tactical significantly faster
LIFELINE: Initiating a revive with Doc Drone doesn't slow you down as much, calling down a Care Package has a longer range and it comes down a lot faster
MIRAGE: (WHAT?!): In addition to being cloaked when reviving a teammate, Mirage and his teammate will now be Cloaked for an additional 2 seconds after.Shooting breaks the cloak
If an enemy shoots his clone, it will reveal their position and track them for a short while afterwards
What else is New?
Apex Season 4 Anniversary Event will feature cute flying Chibi Balloons and other festive decorations. There will be an Air Show at the start of Every Game to set the mood.
Mirage Voyage Returns! This time on Storm Point - Fish Farms, Broken Moon - Divide, and World's Edge - Presumably west of Staging like usual
ARENAS ARE REMOVED. Taking its place will be Team Deathmatch - a 6v6 First to 30 (2 rounds) gamemode with Infinite Respawns and Preset, but rotating, Loadouts. There are Airdrops with Care Package and Fully Kitted guns.
TDM can be played on Party Crasher, Habitat, and Skull Town
TDM will be in rotation for 3 weeks, and is then replaced by "Mixtape" - a Permanent playlist rotating between TDM, Control, and Gun Run
FIRING RANGE UPDATES: New Settings menu allows you to turn on Infinite Ammo, make Dummies Move and Dodge in different speeds - either in the same or random intervals - you can also change the moving target speed to Crouch Walking, Walking, Run, and Zipline speed.
Once you start shooting DUMMIES, there will be a handy stat tracker at the top with useful data such as shots fired, damage, headshots, dummy kills, and Accuracy.
NEW WEAPON: Nemesis - a 4 round burst Energy Weapon that picks up in firing speed the more you shoot. It builds stacks up to 100, where it shreds.
Just like the Eva8 and Mozambique, it has an Automatic Trigger (hold and it bursts as fast as possible)
NEW PLAYER EXPERIENCE:
New Players have to play in Orientation Matches - special lobbies with 16 bot teams and 4 real teams. Get a few top 5's or wins to graduate to real lobbies. This stops smurfs, and allows SBMM to gauge your skill level without throwing you to the wolves
Ranked maps now rotate every 24 hours instead of once a split.
Weapon Meta:
- R301 from 14 dmg to 13
- Assault Rifle Hipfire Significantly Nerfed
- Mastiff and PKnow take Stocks
- Golden Bolt - acts as Kinetic Feeder (slide to reload 1 bullet at a time)
- Shotgun projectile size increased for shotty consistency.
Reactive Skin will be Mastiff
Hemlok enters Care Package with a "Super Buff" - buffing damage, headshot damage, and the Boosted Loader. Rampage back on the ground.
Crafter - Car and Scout back on the ground, Volt and Longbow enters the Crafter.

There are no Official Controller Nerfs this season - but this new patch is a Controller nerf.
By Nerfing Horizon and Wallhack Meta, Controller loses out a lot of strength in team fights.
By buffing Shotguns and nerfing scan, Gibraltar and shotgun meta gets more viable 👇
This could be due to two different reasons;
1. There's too much hyperfixation on the AA value (0.4, 0.6, 1.0, blablabla) - and after the previous backlash Respawn are too afraid to touch them directly
OR:
2. Respawn considers Aim Assistance at a "higher level" of balancing, a part of the core game that shouldn't be touched, and don't want to adjust Aim Assist when making meta changes.
