Headed back from Vegas, here are a few slides & findings from our #sotu2023@NavigatorSurvey report. 1) Respondents did not like GOP interruptions, & GOP behaved even more inappropriately than respondents' expected (52% pre/59% post) CC @amyewalter & @KattyKay_
2) The President made a lot of movement--overall & on specific traits. Note the pre/post change on "up for the job" and "trying to bring people together."
3) Confidence in Biden's ability to tackle a range of issues improved, particularly SS/Medicare.
4) With voters watching the speech unfiltered by GOP-spin, there were many areas of potential common ground. The PRO act, schools, junk fees, Made in America, police accountability, even vetoing an abortion ban.
5) After the speech, more felt hopeful, optimistic, positive,
6) Biden's message was received & the reviews were good.
6) And the entire party benefits.
