Why does God allow kids to die from cancer?

This is an infamous question posed by atheists and agnostics to prove God's nonexistence.

Let's break it down.

First of all, this question does NOT negate God's existence; it simply highlights one's ignorance as to why certain things happen in certain ways. Allah is the Most Wise and Omniscient, while you don't even know what you'll eat for breakfast in a week!

The "problem" of "evil" doesn't negate or even challenge theism at all. Since atheists lack a moral compass, they cannot make moral arguments that this, per se, is a problem. Moreover, they need to explain why this - or anything - is objectively evil and bad.

Do you find comfort in prayer? Answer not with your tongue, but with your heart. And if you say that you do, then why are you praying quickly? We tend to elongate our stay in what gives us comfort, so if it doesn't give you [enough] comfort, then you're doing it wrong.

Prophet Muhammad PBUH told Bilaal RAA to perform adhaan so that they would receive comfort from prayer, not to receive comfort having finished it.

It's an obligation, but one that gives your heart comfort.

Don't just pray; perform the prayer. Perfect it with your limbs & heart.

If you pray and find no comfort, then blame yourself, for your Lord doesn't break a Promise; you just broke yours.

Indeed, with the Remembrance of Allah, hearts find rest; internally, externally, and eternally.

Fix your intention & implementation; Allah WILL fix your status.

This is what a non-Muslim brother asked me a few days ago. The following is my response.

The reason I'm replying to him in a thread instead of a DM, because in the space of the 3 days he asked me, two other non-Muslims coincidentally asked me the exact same question. After dealing with personal errands, I've decided to address this subject succinctly, and clearly.

Some ask this question out of genuine curiousity; why would I follow a man who supposedly married a child? Some sincere truth seekers: did this really happen? Some are ignorant and/or arrogant, use this subject to "destroy" Islam. And are just shy/hesitant to ask about it.

Someone asked me, "What happened before the Big Bang?"

In in a lecture on the no-boundary proposal, Hawking wrote: "Events before the Big Bang are simply not defined, because there's no way one could measure what happened at them...

...Since events before the Big Bang have no observational consequences, one may as well cut them out of the theory, and say that time began at the Big Bang."

They begin their timeline from the big bang - that is the problem. The question is, where did the first atoms come from?

With regards to testimony of women in Islam, there's a fine line between riwaayah and shahadah. Aisha RAA was one of the greatest scholars and mass chain narrators of hadeeth.

As for shahada, Prophet Muhammad PBUH took the shahada of a black woman over two people's testimony - this entails the right of a woman to speak, the weight of what she says, and that racism is not part of Islam.

How many prophecies of Christ PBUH are there in the Old Testament?

Ok, how many of them mention him by name? Or even his mother?

- None...

This deduction (eisegesis) isn't just biased; it's wrong! Many/same verses refer to Prophet Muhammad PBUH as well!

- NOPE!

Yes, Muhammad PBUH was mentioned in the Bible and Old Testament. He's prophesised in the book of Isaiah, chapter 29 verse 12:

“And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I am not learned.”

When Archangel Gabriel commanded Muhammad PBUH by saying Iqra – “Read”, he replied, “I am not learned”. So this verse is talking about Muhammad PBUH as he was not learned, and the first word revealed to him was 'read' just as the verse mentioned.
