Here I am really questioning how and whether picking up dead birds would ever rise to the level of contact that would affect the progression of an airborne disease.

By the way just to be clear don't touch dead animals. Especially don't touch sick animals. They are probably a greater risk actually. Bring in animal experts.

We can't even spend a few bucks to throw air purifiers in ERs (or whatever equivalent) to stop humans from getting sick and healthcare worker absenteeism, so let's see what happens
