Hi everyone! I want to talk a little about relationships, if you'll indulge me.
Tonight, Vex went on a "Date" at the Weary. It was a fun little skit part of a big event that took a lot of work!
During that event, someone in chat said "Does Zolon know you're here?"
🧵1/15
At this point it feels like we're beating a dead horse, but I wanted to come out and issue something very clear and purposeful. We say it again and again, but I want to say it very clearly here for those who are confused.
2/15
Vex and I, as partners, are incredibly communicative. If she's flirting with someone, moaning with someone, doing lewd projects with someone - whatever - you can be we've talked about it.
I'm usually there cheering her on.
3/15
Vexoria is a person, not a good to be traded or property to be owned. I do not own her. Stop asking her if I know she's doing things. I don't control her. I am not her keeper. To suggest she cannot do things without my allowance is frankly misogynistic.
4/15
Yes, we are married. We also live in the same house. Every stream requires planning and chore/household/family management. It is impossible for her to be streaming without my knowledge.
5/15
And even if it was, she still wouldn't need my permission to do anything. I don't have to know about all that she does. I don't have to sign off on it.
Do we communicate and talk about comfort zones, boundaries, etc? Sure, definitely.
6/15
But Vex does not, will not, and never has never needed my permission to do what she wants to do, live her life, or anything else.
But believe me. Vex and I discuss everything beforehand. We have had long talks establishing boundaries.
7/15
If Vex is off doing something on screen, you can assume that I am comfortable with it and everything has been talked about beforehand. I love her. I want to see her thrive and do everything in my power to make that happen. We respect eachother.
8/15
I think a lot of folks also don't seem to understand a concept that is critical to acting/roleplaying (RPers will recognize this!) - IC/OOC. Which means that things done in character does not necessarily equate to things that would be done out of character.
9/15
If Vex is on stream flirting with someone, saying she's going to leave me for them, joking about getting another husband or wife, or anything - it's part of a skit. An act. One I'm in on. Just because it's said in character does not mean it's real. She's playing a role.
10/15
Now that doesn't mean real friendships/relationships and such can't form out of working with folks and putting on those skits. Guess what? If they did, Vex and I would be talking about it. :) Again, because we communicate and respect eachother.
11/15
She doesn't need random_person352 asking if she has my permission to flirt with that person. She never needed it in the first place, and trust me - I knew she was about to flirt with that person long before she ever got on screen with them.
12/15
I wanted to address this, because I know Vex is going to be "going on dates" with other vtubers soon, including one that's going to involve synced sex toys.
She doesn't need my permission for those. Stop asking - it's not funny.
13/15
Even if it's said in jest, it comes off as a misogynistic joke about a woman needing a man's permission to do anything. And even if that's not the intent - it suggests we don't talk or respect eachother.
I assure you that is very much not the case. xD
14/15
So yeah. If you see Vex flirting with someone, teasing someone, getting sexual with someone, kissing someone, or even fucking someone, IC, OOC, whatever...
Trust me. I know :) You don't need to tell me. She didn't need my permission, but she sure as hell has my support.
15/15
TLDR: Vex doesn't need my permission to flirt, fuck, whatever on-screen, off-screen. I don't own her. She's not property. You don't need to ask her if I know, I already know.
Whatever she's doing, I'm supportive of it.

When this game is finished, I feel it will set the next gold standard for 3D Farm Town Sims - leaving SoS/HM/other indie projects with a new height to climb to.
A small 🧵
The core game mechanics that are in right now are all well done, operate smoothly and cleanly, and are enjoyable. Most of them are the traditional, tried and true set - and they work well. For early access, it feels clean.
Controls feel better, more responsive, more clean than modern Story of Seasons games, old HM, and sometimes even SDV. A seemingly minor thing, but important to me!
