Discovery is returning for the final time - celebrate with a thread of art, props, VFX, costumes and more!

(Previous image by Lee Fitzgerald). Here's some early concept art by John Dickenson, who worked on the season 1 Klingon designs; a concept for the bridge by Bartol Rendulic, and a close look at the engine chamber similar to the one in the TOS engine room.

It wouldn't be Trek without a trusty phaser, tricorder and communicator! This time influenced by 'The Cage' era designs.

Cool schematic (by Doug Drexler) of the warp reactors originally designed for the aborted 70s Trek TV show (Phase II) which was upgraded to The Motion Picture. (Read on for how they evolved!)

The reactors (possibly inspired by real fusion reactors) can be seen here in concept art by Mike Minor, who was in the art department headed by Joe Jennings.

Snippets of test footage were shot on the subsequently built engineering set.
