🇮🇳 HAL will display a new Indian fighter HLFT-42 in the #AeroIndia2023
At the Aero India 2023 air show starting in 3 days, the Indian aircraft manufacturer Hindustan Aeronautics Limited will show a model of the promising combat training fighter HLFT-42.
According to a press release, the HLFT-42 (Hindustan Lead in Fighter Trainer) is a two-seat, single-engine “next-generation supersonic trainer [fighter]” that will play a critical role in modern combat aircraft training.

HLFT-42 is supposed to be equipped with an electronically scanned active phrased usearray radar (AESA), electronic warfare and infrared search and tracking systems IRST.

Recall that after the privatization of the company and its acquisition by the conglomerate Tata Sons, Air India intends to order almost 500 aircraft from both Airbus and Boeing

Airbus will order 235 Airbus A320neos + 40 A350s. Boeing will receive a contract for 190 B737 MAX aircraft, as well as 20 B787 Dreamliners + 10 B777Xs

Air India "delayed" with the coordination of details with Airbus. The contract with the European concern was reportedly signed last Friday. At the same time, the contract with Boeing was finalized and signed on Jan 27.
