Will you remain steadfast in Him? No matter what you face from day to day, no matter how difficult the trial, or how weak, or weary you feel?
Matthew 10:22
He that endureth to the end shall be saved.
Ephesians 6:16-18
Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God:
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.
Perseverance is defined as the ability to last, endure, and persist in spite of opposition; to persist in a course of action or an attitude in spite of opposition, to keep on, to continue, and last!
What is the reward for perseverance? Will it be worth it? Yes! The reward is a crown of life!
James 1:12
Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love Him.
Will you encourage others along their journey as well?
I was in a race once and along the way there was an older woman running not too far behind me the entire race. As we entered the final stretch there was a stand for spectators.
This woman had several people in the stands, cheering her on. They were telling her she could do it, she could pass me and go ahead! Those people’s encouragement bolstered her and she did, she passed me and finished ahead of me!
It reminded me of the cloud of witnesses the Word tells us are cheering us on from heaven, and of the Word that says for us to encourage one another!
Hebrews 12:1-4
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
Looking unto Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
For consider Him that endured such contradiction of sinners against Himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds. Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.
Hebrews 3:13; 10:25
But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
[25] Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
Following Jesus Christ and persevering to the end is a worthy and worthwhile goal! So keep going! When you falter, when you grow weary and fall, get back up and continue on! And encourage your brothers and sisters in Christ to do the same!
Revelation 3:5,21
He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the Book of Life, but I will confess his name before My Father, and before His angels.
[21] To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with Me in My throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with My Father in His throne. #EyesOnHim#Persevere#Overcomer
1 John 4:7-11
Beloved, let us LOVE one another: for LOVE is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for GOD is LOVE.
In this was manifested the LOVE of God toward us, because that God sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. Herein is LOVE, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to LOVE one another.
What amazing LOVE!
1 John 3:1
Behold, what manner of LOVE the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God.
John 14:27
Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Have you ever had your peace shaken?
Have you been in a situation where you received a scary diagnosis, or feared you would? Maybe you couldn’t reach a loved one, & feared something bad had happened, or heard news that shook your faith & peace, & brought you to your knees?
How do you have peace in that time? How do you let go of your fears and get rid of all the thoughts and imaginations of your mind?
Is there something you’re keeping to yourself because it’s just too embarrassing to you for you to share? Are you living in condemnation and guilt because of that thing?
Bring it to Him! Confess it to Him! There is NOTHING in our heart, our mind, or our body, that He doesn’t already know about.
If you’re too ashamed to confess it to a brother or sister in Christ, confess it to Him! He will forgive you, cleanse you, heal you, and restore you today! Don’t wait!
Yes, the Word tells us of a great physical famine!
Revelation 18:8
Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.
But, even now we are in a greater famine, a spiritual famine! A famine for hearing the Word of the Lord! Because the people, having itching ears, and wanting to hear a message that tickles their ears have turned aside to false teachers, instead of turning to the Lord,
He will cause a famine for His Word!
Amos 8:11
Behold, the days come, saith the Lord God, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the Words of the Lord.
Mark 14:34-38
And (Jesus) saith unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful unto death: tarry ye here, and watch. And He went forward a little, and fell on the ground, and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from Him.
And He said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto Thee; take away this cup from Me: nevertheless not what I will, but what Thou wilt. And He cometh, and findeth them sleeping, and saith unto Peter, Simon, sleepest thou? couldest not thou watch one hour?
Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak.
Have you grown weary in waiting to see the Lord work in your life or in the people and situations you have brought to Him?
