I found the program on my computer, and fired it up to get some screenshots of places we never got to see (and yet which were on the blueprints made by Rick Sternbach). Figured I’d do a bit of an image dump along with context.

First up - Nine Forward!

#StarTrekTNG
As for some of those lounges I mentioned, here are a few examples. The first to are a lounge near crew quarters, the third is just outside the arboretum, and the last one is on deck 9, with the entrance to Nine Forward at the end of the hallway.
These are some of my favorites - the first one is JUST outside the door on the starboard side of the bridge - the door on the landing is the observation lounge, half a deck down from the bridge.

The other two pictures are what you see as you turn that corner.
Here we see the central control room of the computer core. The 1701-D had two parallel cores, so the doors on either side lead to one of each. The narrow hallway heads to the small access rooms, which you see in the third photo.
This is my favorite “never seen” area - the Main Shuttlebay. The first picture is actually the rear bay, where shuttles are stored, while the second photo is the launch bay - the big door you see at the rear of the saucer section.

And yes, there are STAIRS leading down to it!
More main Shuttlebay - the first picture shows the main bay control room, followed by a picture of a lounge (waiting for your shuttle to be ready, may as well get a Synth-ale!) with a few observation areas as well.

It really cannot be overstated how huge main shuttlebay is.
A little miscellany here - you never really see outside of the officer’s waiters, but they have these little windows with mini blinds on them that I just love.

And yes, each deck does have a stairwell, so turbolifts aren’t the only way around. :)
And finally, there’s the little control room for the Warp Core, but if you look carefully, you can see a little corridor there, which you never see in the show. It leads to a little hallway that you sadly can’t go down, but I love the extra detail.
I’ve had my set of blueprints since I was 16, I think - and there’s not a single area of it I haven’t gone over in detail. (It’s also one of the things that made me such a fangirl of Rick Sternbach - and one of the reasons I was so excited when he friended me back on Facebook. 😁
As much as I adore the way the Trek aesthetic has evolved (both into the future and in the re-imagined 1701 for SNW), it’s hard not to feel like Federation ship design peaked with the Galaxy Class. The inviting interiors just feel RIGHT for Starfleet.
