One of my ghostwriting clients gained 31,412 followers in 72 hours.

Here's how (so you can grow quickly too):

🧵
Quick notes:

1. These are not typical results, but you can still learn from them and use them to grow.

2. I’m going to be vague on the details because I don’t reveal my clients’ identities, but I’ll share useful general principles.

Let’s get into it…
1. Name-Dropping

Famous names catch attention.

In this post, I dropped one of the most famous brand names in the world.

That caught people’s eyes, which led to them wanting to read more.
2. Storytelling

This post told an interesting story with valuable lessons.

In general, stories retain attention better than any other persuasive device.

People love stories, if you learn how to tell one, they’ll pay attention.
3. Hooking

Every great post needs an even better hook.

This one was pretty easy. I just started telling the story.

Another method I like is hooking with the middle or end of the story, then starting from the beginning.
4. Follow-Through

The best hook in the world won’t save you if the rest of the post sucks.

I followed through by telling the story well and then relating the lessons of it to the reader, who could use those principles in business and marketing.
5. Visuals

Though it’s definitely not required, posts with a photo often do well.

That’s because they take up more space on the timeline and often generate more interest.

On Twitter, I used a photo. On LinkedIn, I made a carousel.
6. Value Delivery

Though just telling a story can work if it’s interesting enough, it’s usually better to turn things around and give your readers actionable lessons.

That’s what I did with this post: hook, story, then value delivery.
7. Formatting

If you want people to read your writing, make it easy to write.

Use bulleted lists, numbered lists, and paragraph breaks.

I cut this post up into bite-sized pieces so it was extra consumable.
8. Distribution

This is the big one that not a lot of "growth hackers" mention.

My client was well connected and had a network to give the post initial engagement.

You can build this organically for yourself or create it through paid promotion.
With all of those combined, my client went from about 10,000 combined followers on Twitter and LinkedIn to over 40,000 in just a few days.

Again, these are not typical results, but if you use the 8 elements above, you have a shot at awesome growth.
P.S. For the first time in 7 months, I have a ghostwriting client spot open.

If you want to explore working together, DM me the word "ghost" + a quick intro, and we'll see if it's a good fit.

Please only do so if you earn at least $30k per month or have a high net worth.
That’s all of them.

I write 97 posts per week for me and my ghostwriting clients.

That means I create more content than almost any other person on earth.

Here are the 4 software tools I use to never run out of ideas:

🧵
1. Chatsonic from @WriteSonic

This is like ChatGPT but it never goes down due to overuse and was made specifically for writers.

I use it to get inspiration (e.g. “give me 20 marketing blog post ideas”) and research (e.g. “give me an example of loss aversion”).
@WriteSonic 2. @TwemexApp

This tool shows you Twitter creators’ best-performing posts.

I use it to find resonant topics and formats, which I then adapt and turn into 100% original content.

Got 30 free minutes per day?

Then you can build a personal brand.

Just follow my 10-10-10 method:

🧵
I call this the “10-10-10 method” because you’re splitting your tasks into three blocks of 10 minutes.

You can do them sequentially or separately, depending on your schedule.

You can also scale those up to something like 30-20-30 if you have the time.

Let’s get into it…
1. The First Engagement Phase

This is when you engage with your network.

Find accounts of all sizes that you enjoy and engage with them daily.

For the first few weeks, just like and reply.

After that, send them DMs to create a deeper connection.

In 2017, I was on food stamps because I couldn’t afford groceries.

In 2022, I earned over $300,000 as an online writer.

Here’s how you can do the same (but “make it” 5x faster):

🧵
1. Study The Craft

You have to get good at writing, obviously.

But you don’t have to be amazing.

Just read some foundational books, then practice for a couple months by doing hypothetical jobs or writing content for yourself.
2. Build A Free/Cheap Offer

Your offer is what you deliver to clients.

I prefer ones that directly create profit and are recurring.

Examples:

- 8 blog posts per month
- 2 sales emails per week
- Daily social media content

Make yours free or cheap to start.

I once gained 20,000 followers in 30 days, and it was the worst thing to ever happen to my personal brand.

Here’s why:

🧵
The quality and depth of your content create the quality and depth of your audience.

If it's surface-level, you'll attract the masses.

If it's deeper, you'll attract deep thinkers and high-ticket buyers.
The problem I see all over the personal branding space is people chasing trends or emulating popular influencers without thinking about what the result will be.

Not all followers are equal.

High-quality ones are worth 100x more than low-quality ones.

I've built my personal brand to 185,000 followers and a $300k+/yr income.

It cost $0 to get started.

Now it costs about $150 a month.

Here's how to win big without spending big:

🧵
The first thing you need to realize is that you can build a nice (let’s say $100k-$3m/yr) online income without spending a dime.

That’s because you can sell things that cost either $0 and 0 seconds to reproduce, or things that take time to reproduce but no money.
Let’s get specific.

Things you can sell that don’t cost a dime:

- Services fulfilled by you
- Courses
- Books
- Paid newsletters
- Community subscriptions
- Other people’s offers (as an affiliate)

But monetization shouldn’t be your first thought.

I’ve made over $500,000 just from sending cold DMs and emails.

Follow these 10 cold outreach laws, and you can do the same:

🧵
1. You Don’t Matter

You matter a bit, of course.

But the “you don’t matter” mindset is extremely useful.

It tunes your approach to delivering value rather than taking it.

What your prospect wants matters.

What you want doesn’t.
2. Be A Value Add

I get 20+ DMs and connection requests every day.

95% of them try to take value instead of giving it.

For example, they ask me for a favor rather than trying to do one for me.

This is a bad strategy.

Try to add value, not take it.
