One of my ghostwriting clients gained 31,412 followers in 72 hours.
Here's how (so you can grow quickly too):
🧵
Quick notes:
1. These are not typical results, but you can still learn from them and use them to grow.
2. I’m going to be vague on the details because I don’t reveal my clients’ identities, but I’ll share useful general principles.
Let’s get into it…
1. Name-Dropping
Famous names catch attention.
In this post, I dropped one of the most famous brand names in the world.
That caught people’s eyes, which led to them wanting to read more.
2. Storytelling
This post told an interesting story with valuable lessons.
In general, stories retain attention better than any other persuasive device.
People love stories, if you learn how to tell one, they’ll pay attention.
3. Hooking
Every great post needs an even better hook.
This one was pretty easy. I just started telling the story.
Another method I like is hooking with the middle or end of the story, then starting from the beginning.
4. Follow-Through
The best hook in the world won’t save you if the rest of the post sucks.
I followed through by telling the story well and then relating the lessons of it to the reader, who could use those principles in business and marketing.
5. Visuals
Though it’s definitely not required, posts with a photo often do well.
That’s because they take up more space on the timeline and often generate more interest.
On Twitter, I used a photo. On LinkedIn, I made a carousel.
6. Value Delivery
Though just telling a story can work if it’s interesting enough, it’s usually better to turn things around and give your readers actionable lessons.
That’s what I did with this post: hook, story, then value delivery.
7. Formatting
If you want people to read your writing, make it easy to write.
Use bulleted lists, numbered lists, and paragraph breaks.
I cut this post up into bite-sized pieces so it was extra consumable.
8. Distribution
This is the big one that not a lot of "growth hackers" mention.
My client was well connected and had a network to give the post initial engagement.
You can build this organically for yourself or create it through paid promotion.
With all of those combined, my client went from about 10,000 combined followers on Twitter and LinkedIn to over 40,000 in just a few days.
Again, these are not typical results, but if you use the 8 elements above, you have a shot at awesome growth.
P.S. For the first time in 7 months, I have a ghostwriting client spot open.
If you want to explore working together, DM me the word "ghost" + a quick intro, and we'll see if it's a good fit.
Please only do so if you earn at least $30k per month or have a high net worth.
That’s all of them.

I once gained 20,000 followers in 30 days, and it was the worst thing to ever happen to my personal brand.
Here’s why:
🧵
The quality and depth of your content create the quality and depth of your audience.
If it's surface-level, you'll attract the masses.
If it's deeper, you'll attract deep thinkers and high-ticket buyers.
The problem I see all over the personal branding space is people chasing trends or emulating popular influencers without thinking about what the result will be.
Not all followers are equal.
High-quality ones are worth 100x more than low-quality ones.
