Keep thinking about the cis mums of trans teens I met at the #BriannaGhey vigil. Absolute tigresses for their children. Powerful, beautiful women doing what's right. That's what we need in our allies.
I get so angry when GCs try to fabricate a divide between cis women & trans people. Cis women have always been our most staunch allies & protectors. Most of my non-trans friends are cis women who have sheltered me throughout my life.
Cis women & trans folks are natural allies & face many of the same struggles. The 'divide' is stretched wide open by fearmongers, who seek to oppress all marginalised genders.
I love women, I am proud to know women, I am proud to fight alongside women. I do not accept the fake enmity between cis women & trans people. I will link arms with women in the fight against sexism until I last draw breath, & when I die I'm coming back to haunt Andrew Tate

So, you're a cis ally, you're horrified by the rise of transphobia, and you don't know how to turn your support for trans people into action. Here's a short list devised by one trans person of things you can do to proactively help us:
1. Donate to trans fundraisers for funerals, surgeries, and basic needs. Trans people statistically earn less and struggle to find work more than cis people, especially BAME trans women. We also often have to resort to private means of accessing essential healthcare.
2. No money? No problem! Help trans people share and signal boost their fundraisers and requests for help, get those pages in front of people who have funds.
