In honor of #BlackHistoryMonth , we are highlighting some of the work done by our #ABCT members. Today’s featured psychologist is Dr. Krystal Lewis (@DrKrystalLewis), a Clinical Psychologist and Co-Director of Education with the Emotion and Development Branch at the @NIMHgov.
Dr. @DrKrystalLewis specializes in exposure-based CBT for pediatric anxiety. Additionally, she currently serves as the #ABCT Associate Program Chair. Dr. Lewis is passionate about training, mentoring and the provision of evidence-informed and culturally responsive care. #CBTworks
She also loves reading, playing tennis, and traveling! 📚🎾✈️

Currently, @DrDelappPhD is an assistant professor at Albert Einstein College of Medicine (@EinsteinMed), as well as an attending psychologist and director of the Racial, Ethnic, and Cultural Healing (REACH) program at Montefiore’s Child/Adolescent Psychiatric Outpatient Division.
Additionally, he is a staff psychologist at Einstein’s Student Mental Health Center. Additionally, @DrDelappPhD will be excitedly joining the Manhattan office at the Ross Center (@RossCenterNY) as a staff psychologist in April 2023.
ABCT has released an apology statement for its history involving so-called “conversion therapy.” 🧵
In the apology, ABCT “apologizes for our historic role in the development and use of so-called ‘conversion therapies,’ practices that have caused untold harm to members of the sexual and gender minority (SGM) community for over 50 years.”
