In Aug 2021 when released on 1 wk interim bail, he wore his black coat & went straight to the sessions court to sing his story.

Born at the bottom of the social pyramid, Surendra Gadling paid for his education by teaching others. An apprenticeship in the Railways opened the door to a secure job & pension.

He chose instead to serve the poor & the marginalised - those the state treats as disposable. 🧵2/11

Using music & theatre, Surendra took Dalit rights naming India’s ancient pillar of injustice. He was one of the founders of Awhan Natya Manch’ organised cultural evenings in Nagpur's slums.

He defended poor Dalits & Adivasis, arbitrarily booked by the state without fees. 3/11

However, the West was also calling. In Sept 1947, Lahore civil servant Brijlal Nehru wrote to Gandhi ‘This vicious cycle, only you can break it.’

Prof. Hany Babu completed his fellowship at the prestigious Uni of Jena, Germany & later worked as a research assistant at the Uni of Konstanz.

He could’ve lived a settled life abroad, but chose to return to India in 2002. joined EFLU as Professor, then Delhi Uni in 2008. 2/12

Here he formed Teacher Asso - "Academic Forum of Social Justice". Through RTI he collected data from 30 colleges of Delhi Uni exposed 'reserve seat selling scam' which was going on in Delhi Uni.

The only thing that Hindu Rashtra offers it's Hindu subject is - the circus of minority suffering. Modi model knew a formal ammendment would be struck down. So they simply rule it as if India is a Hindu Rashtra without declaring it.

The wise & farsighted man Dr Babasaheb in his Historical speech on 04 Nov 1948 warned the Constituent Assembly that -

A democracy doesn’t perish from external attacks, but when even a few within stop believing in its constitutional morality & spirit and cease to act by it. 2/7

He explained the way a country's administration must match the spirit & Constitutional morality.

Insisted that if have a democratic Constitution, the actual working Govt, bureaucracy, institutions & officials must also behave democratically. Are they behaving so today? 3/7

BBC Bangladesh finally found Sakina Begum(68yr) missing since her detention by Assam Police 4 months ago.

After 4 months daughter Rasia could see her mother, talk to her - Thanx to the science.
Yet she can't touch her, Thanks to the division of hearts called - the Border. 🧵1/9

Rasia saw her mother last time on 25th May. She says that day - Nalbari Police, Assam asked Sakina to report to the police station for a “signature on some papers for her case,”

Sakina was declared foreigner by Assam’s Kangaroo Court aka Foreigners Tribunal in 2012. 2/9

There are several reports about the arbitrary and bias work of Foreigners Tribunal of Assam. However after that Sakina spent 5 long years in the Kokrajhar detention centre, Assam.

Finally she was released in 2019 after a Supreme Court Judgement made conditional bail. 3/9
