Thank you to everyone who attend the launch of our exhibition, Holocaust Letters, last night!
It was amazing to hear from those who have generously donated their family's letters to the Library and co-curated their own panel
Curator @salipner told the audience "we inherit these things and then we have to do something with them", describing how she found letters from her family, sparking her research into letters as early Holocaust knowledge
"What is in a letter? A gift, a privilege, and a huge task"
We also heard from children's author @MichaelRosenYes who described how he found photographs and letters which uncovered a hidden family history. His relative's letters from a Soviet labour camp are also featured in the exhibition
