Council moves to go into closed session under Section 239(2) (f) of the Municipal Act relating to advice that is subject to solicitor-client privilege, including communications necessary for that purpose. Goller and Caton make the motion.
Motion passes unanimously. Closed session beginning now, and Guthrie says that they will give a summary once the closed meet is over.
Council has emerged from closed session. Waiting for quorum.
Guthrie re-opens the meeting. On "CN Rail Operations in the City of Guelph", Guthrie says the council has given direction to staff to reach out to CN to see what steps can be taken to address train traffic and shunting.
So that's that for this special meeting. The regularly scheduled workshop will begin at 6 pm!
