Now - let me start with a disclaimer. This theory can very well prove to be false. Still, I think it’s really fun to speculate about Nami’s origins.

I think Oda has something amazing planned; this is my guess on what that might be.

For this particular theory, I’m going to talk about three things first: Imu, birds, and then Imu + birds.

I’ll then talk about how this might unfold in the story, and why Imu might soon come looking for the children that Bell-mère raised.

Before I start, I just want to leave a disclaimer that, as with my other theories, this will have some stretching and reaching. It’s what I do.

Still, I think it’s an idea worth sharing.

After all, how the do you destroy a continent?

The theory that One Piece will end with the destruction of the Red Line has been around for a while.

The Origin of the Devil Fruits.

A theory that combines spirals, the broken horn, puns, and the recent lore from Egghead Island.

What if there was no Devil Fruit tree…?

A little disclaimer - as with most theories of mine this might prove to be false, and it’s definitely reaching in parts.

Like Vegapunk said - "This is only my theory."

However, I think it’s a fun idea worth sharing…because I don’t think I’ve seen it anywhere else.

(1) Eating it grants users special abilities. In return, they lose the ability to swim.

(2) Vegapunk has said it’s the wish for the next step of human evolution - a result of wishes and desires.

The “Man Marked By Flames”. Maybe it’s someone we’ve already seen…but we were just looking at the wrong place.

A possibility no one's brought up. Let's talk about White Mouse.

These are all possible.

In this thread, I want to offer a possibility that ties together a revelations from recent chapters.

First, let’s recap what we know about the “man marked by flames”.

According to Killer, getting him will help them stay ahead in the scramble for One Piece.

When he was brought up, Luffy expressed cluelessness, Law gave a dark expression and Robin had a literal question mark.

Imu’s identity.

The three known Ancient Weapons were named after Gods - Poseidon, Uranus and Pluton. Could there be a God that inspired Imu? I think so. 👀

I think Imu’s true identity (or inspiration) is Juno.

No, I don’t mean, the movie, featuring the young character who confronts her unplanned pregnancy. (highly recommended btw, go check it).

I’m talking about the Roman Goddess, Juno - Goddess of Marriage and Childbirth.
