Abhijit Shinde, 1st year PG student has died after collapsing while participating in the Unmkut event. He was on hunger strike from 22nd feb against "Shuttle Fees" imposed by university .

APU students are protesting against shuttle fees for last 10 days.

University was asking them to pay 17000/year as shuttle fees for transporting them from hostel to campus.

Students start protesting against the shuttle fees and later they went on hunger strike from 22th Feb.

In terms of faculty and protests, Azim Premji University is much ahead of JNU.

APU remembers Rohit Vemula every year but trying to cover death of student inside their on university who was on hunger striker.

Sudha Bharadwaj, @ravishndtv, Shehla Rashid, @Ram_Guha etc regularly attend events at APU. Its meaningless to expect them to speak for Abhijit Shinde.
