1/ So what do Russia's UN representative Dmitry Polyanskiy, fugitive from US justice, KimDotCom, & Australian based "journalist" who is a contributor to Russian State media outlets, Caitlin Johnstone, have in common? They are all admirers of each other's work.......,

2/ In this thread, using open source information, we will explore the activities of Caitlin Johnstone, her role in spreading disinformation, her boosting of repressive regimes, and her role in disseminating propaganda of hostile foreign powers, both here in Australia & abroad..,

3/ Caitlin Johnstone is a primary contributor to Russian State media outlet @RT_com . In turn, @RT_com both promotes her website, and promotes her Twitter account. In both cases, Johnstone's website & Twitter account is monetized, allowing "donations" of cash & bitcoin.....,

4/ Caitlin Johnstone claims she has no relationship with Russian State media. This is patently not true. She is a consistent contributor to @RT_com for which Moscow promotes her monetized sites. Johnstone has consistently promoted Russian disinformation in her articles....,

5/ Johnstone, much like celebrities Roger Waters & Oliver Stone, back a straw man anti war movement which blames the West for all the world's ills. Her latest target is Ukraine. In her writings, she parrots Moscow's lie that Ukraine & the US are to blame for the war in Ukraine.,

6/ Johnstone goes further, repeating the lie started by Moscow that Ukraine is being used as a weapons testing site for a future war with Russia & China by NATO and the West. Her "reporting" is nothing but pure "deza", disinformation from within Russian Intelligence Services...,

7/ Demonstrating how important Caitlin Johnstone's work is to Moscow, her articles have been translated into other languages for publication by @RT_com affiliates abroad, in this example RT's affiliate in Germany. Interestingly this RT podcast has Johnstone supporting China...,

8/ Ms Johnstone is not limited however to pushing Moscow's lies. She has increasingly been pushing CCP / PRC narratives. Her alignment with Beijing's views is almost universal. Her claim to be an independent, freelance journalist, is not supported by the objective evidence...,

9/ Caitlin Johnstone has been boosted in her credibility, by the support of former Australian Govt diplomat to Moscow @tonykevin . Mr Kevin has knowingly repeated untruths from both Moscow & Beijing, and regularly promotes dubious work by people such as Caitlin Johnstone....,

10/ Ms Johnstone is also not above attacking individuals. She attacked the late Senator Jim Molan, and also by extension the @LowyInstitute & @ASPI_org . This was instructive as to where her loyalties lie, as China's Foreign Ministry has also heavily attacked @ASPI_org ....,

11/ But Senator Molan, @ASPI_org and @LowyInstitute where not the only ones Australian Caitlin Johnstone's sights. Given her "journalism" for @RT_com critical of Ukraine, it was inevitable that Ms Johnstone targeted @WarintheFuture former Maj Gen Mick Ryan with her lies...,

12/ Her criticism's of countries in her reporting always seem to pertain to Western democracies. In her narrative, China & Russia are the victims.Given her slanted reporting, the question that needs to be asked is, does Caitlin Johnstone get financially supported by Ru or China?

13/ Then there's the curious case of a verified Chinese based Twitter account in Shenzhen with 236K followers, that jumped into a thread to defend Johnstone against accusations that she worked for the Russian Govt. How did Ms Wu beat the Great Digital Wall to to post that?

14/ Caitlin Johnstone has also written for Syrian dictator Assad's Syrian Arab News Agency, where she tried to deny that Assad had used Chemical weapons in Syria against his own people. Johnstone claimed, with no evidence, that America pressured others to lie about their use..,

15/ Caitlin Johnstone's activities were bad enough when they were directed against our allies overseas. But it now appears she is targeting Australia and the Australian Govt more directly, with propaganda that originates with nations hostile to Australia....,

16/ The time has come for Australian Intelligence agencies to look into how Caitlin Johnstone's "journalism" is financed, who is financing her, and to assess if she qualifies to be registered as a foreign agent of a foreign country, based on her activities & foreign backing.
