🧵Meanwhile, 32 prisoners have been murdered in Harris County jails due to overcrowding from the intentionally designed criminal court backlog.

The cost to prevent the backlog? $16 million which @LinaHidalgoTX is having a hard time finding the funding for.
As of right now the overcrowding is costing the county nearly $250 million dollars.

Why doesn’t @LinaHidalgoTX want to stop the hemorrhaging of money being wasted on overcrowding?
The county spent $25 million alone on just one stint of outsourcing prisoners to out-of-state jails @SheriffEd_HCSO has been spending millions on technological surveillance as opposed to actual human surveillance in the jails

Most secure election in US history took place.
