John Sebastian Papendiek Vulliamy was Shirley Hughes’s husband. He was an architect and an etcher.
I couldn't find one photo of her husband but according to wiki he comes from a notable family.

The Exposition Internationale d’Électricité was an exhibition held in Marseille from April to October of 1908.
Electricity was given a “face” in the shape of La Fée Électricite. Public response to the Electricity Fairy was overwhelming. The dazzling allegorical figure, giving a human face to a physical phenomenon, conveyed impressions of a luxury and extravagance so far not seen.
