I thank God my father was firm with me, if not, by now I for don “Otilo”, I would have been a “Goner”.
Thanks to my “stubborn” nature and my father’s reserved nature, we didn’t do a lot of holidaying in our relatives growing up before you will disgrace the family NAME outside.
Whatever we needed was at home, so stay home.
My father cherished his NAME so much and did everything he could to protect it.
I remember after my Junior WAEC, my favorite uncle that was living in Ghana came home and told my dad, he wanted me to come for the holidays in Ghana.
It was a dicey situation, he couldn’t say no to his brother, at least not this one that has always been close to the family.
Everything was agreed and later a night before I was to leave for Ghana, my father sent for me and I was super scared. 🙆🙆🙆
He sat me down and practically begged me, saying, “Don’t disgrace me outside, don’t bring shame to this family”, those words sank.
And after begging, his tone changed and he was like, “If you go ahead and misbehave, don’t think of coming back” 🤣🤣🤣🤣
And trust me, the fear of disgracing my family name kept on check throughout my holidays in Ghana that went from 6 months to 4 years 😷😷😷
One thing I inherited from my father, Ogaranya is the “GOOD FAMILY NAME” and it has opened doors for me, I won’t sell it for any amount.
We’re in a generation where everything is for sale. Transfer 10k and you will see people selling out on Social media because of money.
Right from the first day I started making money off Social Media, I made my rules, it’s not every gig that I will accept no matter the prize.
There are products or agendas I can’t promote because they’re against my beliefs, no matter the amount I’m offered, It’s a big fat NO.
At the end of the day, I want to leave a LEGACY that I’m someone who stood for something, something RIGHT and never sold out at any price.
The reason we’re all shouting and crying today is because we have leaders who don’t want to build a GOOD legacies for themselves.
Prof. Mahmood had the opportunity to build the legacy of being the first INEC chairman to give Nigeria her freest and fairest elections but SOLD out.
You won’t do better in his position when for a couple of thousands you sell out on Twitter.
Build a name for yourself, a “GOOD NAME”
Build a legacy for yourself, a “GOOD LEGACY”
Money is something but it’s definitely not everything.
Don’t Be For Sale!!!
Do Have A Good Day 🙏

My father has one bad habit, he’s way too soft hearted and can’t say the word “No” and most of the people around him used it against him, always asking and he kept giving.
We had more than enough, so nobody complained until as businesses go, we had issues.
Business became very bad, some of his containers were delayed for months both on the high sea and when they came into Nigeria.
By the time it came back to Aba, the goods were destroyed, we’re talking about 40 feet container worth millions (when Naira was still Naira).
