Zwift is a basically home trainer simulator, Tic Tac Bow, a mobile archery gatcha game, and Just Dance is a fun way to get moving, but they don't fully represent the excitement and competitiveness of true Esports 🎮

Esports are supposed to be high-energy and fast-paced, or require focus and precision during intense, short sessions 🏋️ They're the digital equivalent of traditional sports, with players pushing themselves to the limit.

The Olympic Committee seems to have missed the mark entirely when it comes to understanding what makes esports so exciting 🤨

Mobile Esports have also been included 📱 But most mobile games are designed for quick, casual play and don't lend themselves to high-stakes competition. (With few exceptions 👀)

The Committee has opted for slow and steady games, with little actual skill-cap, and thrown poorly rated gatcha mobile games into the mix, favouring paying users over skilful gameplay 😞

🚫 This decision could harm the Esports scene and reinforce their assumptions on 'esports' not being the right path for them.

We at @PixionGames are excited for Esports in the Olympic Games, but the Committee's game selection is problematic. We want them to truly care about Esports and the athletes who work hard to reach the peak of gaming 💪

Billions of players have a mobile device, which means everyone can start their competitive journey.

But mobile Esports games need to offer fun gameplay, be playable in short sessions, and offer fair competition 💡 That's what mobile esports should be!
