CCTV FOLLIES 3.3 An interview with Seymour Hersh
CGTN, the external propaganda arm of CCTV, finally snagged a Hersh interview. It was featured prominently on Xinwen Lianbo, leading the world news.
The part of the interview broadcast is included in the following series of screen shots. Hersh's answers are provided in voice-over and subtitles but no English.
The original CGTN report had Hersh speaking in his own voice, so it is established that he said
"the Ukraine War."
CGTN probably vacillated on this, but went with a fair translation, but for protocol reasons, put the word "war" in scare quotes.
CCTV has adhered religiously to the Kremlin line. Invasion never mentioned and war is a prohibited term.
It's the Special Military Operation, or as CCTV has come to call it, the "situation" or the "Russia-Ukraine conflict.
CCTV seems to think it is being neutral by presenting Russia's brutal invasion as a conflict that erupted spontaneously.
In fact, following the big scoop of the Hersh interview, CCTV cuts right away to Sergei Lavrov to demonstrate the supposed credibility of the claim.

(Lavrov got laughed at in India for saying Russia fought to "stop the war that was launched against us"
Lavrov is not always a convincing liar, but he is good at playing indignant.
"It is unacceptable that the West should get away with covering up the truth!"
To further buttress Hersh's claim, CCTV turns it gaze to Germany where there have been voices critical of the US, especially on Nord Stream. A member of the Bundestag demands that Chancellor Olaf Scholz stop being passive and press Washington for an answer.
CCTV brings in a French scholar to second the motion. "The US goal is to split Russia from Europe."
This is the crown jewel of CCTV Hersh reports to date which have been aired daily since February 8.

CGTN's posting on "Frontline" perpetuates the myth of a neutral conflict that absolves Russia of both invasion and war.

Hersh: “If they start this war…
(ruguoewuchongtufashengdehua)
is rendered
—if a Russia-Ukraine conflict should occur—
Hersh: "two weeks before the war..."
is changed to
"Two weeks before the Russia-Ukraine conflict occurred..."
"The president himself had said, publicly in February, in a meeting with Chancellor Scholz of Germany, 2 weeks before the ACTUAL INVASION BY RUSSIA…I think the INVASION was around the 24th.”

is

"2 weeks before the Russia-Ukraine conflict occurred, Biden and Chancellor Scholz-"

Xi Jinping's New Era Chinese-style modernization is deep, profound, lofty and a bit difficult for non-Chinese to grasp, but with attentive note-taking and proper inculcation, they, too, can aspire to Chinese-level civilization guided by the spirit of the 20th party congress. ImageImageImageImage

CCTV FOLLIES 2.28 Everything's coming up bubbles

Nord Stream story by Hersh continues to dominate CCTV's flagship news.
-The 2.8 Substack article by Hersh again highlighted today
-In other news a 20-minute snoozefest of Xi presiding over interminable meetings (saved for last)
The Hersh story has been touted daily for three weeks now, but CCTV found a fresh angle with a little assist from Russia Today.
An American protester at a US campus is recorded shouting slogans:
"We want peace and dialogue, not Nord Stream.."
"US foreign policy should solve problems, not destroy things."
The young man is escorted about by a CUNY campus security guard.
