Personally, I could only get a “meets” not an “exceeds” expectations (which is tied to more $) on my yearly appraisal despite winning SA journalist of the year that year lol. Not a massive deal but a good example of how much of a farce ABC’s pay progression system can feel like.
We need genuine pay progression to retain the best and brightest at the ABC. Needless to say my colleague from the tweet above has left for a far higher paying job. People are ABC's biggest asset. We need our value to be reflected in our pay. #DontDiscountABC @withMEAA
