In advance of @OPCW#EC-102 @StateDept_GCJ Ambassador Van Schaack joined @OPCW DG Arias and a panel of experts at @LeidenLaw to discuss Chemical Weapons use and legal pathways to accountability.
The United States is committed to working with allies and partners, civil society and international organizations such as @OPCW to investigate allegations of chemical weapons usage and hold those accountable when usage is found to have occurred.
We support @OPCW engagement with #IIIM to promote accountability in Syria.

3/4 Unfortunately, at #CSP27 Russia and Syria continued to spread lies to try to avoid accountability for using Chemical Weapons. @OPCW States Parties must continue to take steps in 2023 to ensure #NoImpunity.
