SitRep - 09/03/23 - Russia's missile attack

A delayed (shortened) SitRep from yesterday due to my absence. A day when Russia carried out a missile attack with different types of weapons in the night of 8 to 9 March. The fight around Bakhmut continues.

As usual we start with Russian losses per 09/03 reported by the general staff. We also include visually confirmed damaged, destroyed or captured equipment.

+560 men
+5 tanks
+13 APCs
+2 artillery systems
+1 AD system
A T-72 tank destroyed
Two AD systems destroyed by Ukrainian kamikaze drones. Presumably Switchblade 300/600.
A Russian Orlan-10 was downed.
A Russian mortar position destroyed
Let's continue with the general events. In the night of 8 to 9 march, Russia attacked Ukraine with various types of missiles. There is destruction to electrical infrastructure but not much later in the day most of it was already repaired.
An attack on Lviv cost the life of 4 people
Three TPP's were damaged due to the rocket attack.
It was the first time (known) that Russia attacked Ukraine with a KH47M2 Kinzhal missile.
In Transnistria they decided to create another bogus story about the Ukrainian SBU.
Poland completed the transfer of 14 Leopard 2A4 tanks by handing over the last batch of 10.
After skirmishes in Bryansk region, now also a video appeared from Plekhovo, Kursk region. Insurgents fighting against Putin took up arms. Civil war incoming?
It is said that Slovakia and Poland have agreed on supplying a significant number of Mig-29 fighter jets to Ukraine.

Overnight Russia attacked Ukraine with cruise missiles. Several hits were recorded and in parts of the country the electricity is gone due to damage to the infrastructure. It was some time ago already that Russia performed a large scale attack. Exact numbers are not yet known.
In Kyiv it’s reported that Russia fired a Kinzhal hypersonic missile which hit infrastructure. Such missiles can’t be shot down by Ukrainian air defense.
As a result of a missile strike in the Odesa region, several power lines and a support tower were damaged. Industry workers have already started repair work, said the head of Odesa administration Maksym Marchenko.

SitRep - 08/03/23 - Syrskyi again visited Bakhmut

General Oleksandr Syrsky, commander of the eastern grouping again visited Bakhmut. Meanwhile, Russians have shifted their efforts north of Soledar where they restarted an offensive towards Rozdolivka.

SitRep - 07/03/23 - Silence before the storm?

An overview of the daily events in the war between Russia and Ukraine. It seems more and more that Russia is running out of steam around Bakhmut. More important, 130 heroes were freed from Russian captivity and returned home.
