Luke 13:5
Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
We need a revival! A revival of the people of God turning to Him! Jesus is coming back for a church without spot and blameless!
2 Peter 3:10-11,14
The day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, [14] Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of Him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
Rev 2:4-5,16,22
I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, & repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, & will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.
[16] Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of My mouth. [22] Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.
Revelation 3:3,5,11,19,22
Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.
[5] He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the Book of Life, but I will confess his name before My Father, and before His angels.
[11] Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown. [19] As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. [22] He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
Oh Lord, I pray that Your Spirit will fall on Your people. A Spirit of repentance & turning to You. Grieve our hearts for what grieves You, Lord! Cause us to see our sin & the sin in this world from Your perspective. May we turn away from it & turn to You with our whole heart!
Lord, You said as we seek to save those headed toward eternal damnation that we should hate even the garment spotted by their fleshly sin.
Jude 1:22-23
And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.
You said we should take no part in evil!
1 Thessalonians 5:22
Abstain from all appearance of evil.
Forgive us when we laugh at the things that grieve You! The things that are a shame to even speak about.
Ephesians 5:11-12
And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.
Forgive us Lord for making friends with the world!
James 4:4
Know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
Lord, do whatever it takes in our lives to make our hearts completely Yours, even if that means those living in unrepentant sin be turned over to Satan for the destruction of their flesh that their soul might be saved!
For those pretenders, false teachers, those posing as angels of light, may they turn to you and repent! But if not, Lord, turn their way upside down. Cause them to be ensnared in the trap they set, and caught in the web of lies they conceived!
Each day You give us Your Word of encouragement, faith, hope, and comfort, but today Lord You gave us Your Word of warning!
Hear His Word, you His people! May all the earth hear the Word of the Lord!
Do you ever look back at your life and take inventory?
Jeremiah did that. We read that when he did, he remembered his sin and what the results of it were.
Lamentations 3:19-20
Remembering mine affliction and my misery, the wormwood and the gall. My soul hath them still in remembrance, and is humbled in me.
He also remembered God’s mercy, love and faithfulness!
[21-24]
This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is Thy faithfulness. The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in Him.
Do you feel like you’re caught in a web of your own making? That the things you’ve done are so bad God could never forgive you?
Have you been leading a double life, claiming to be one thing, but in reality being another?
Are you feeling hopeless because of these things?
Come to Him! Bring every hidden thing before Him and lay it all at His feet! He already knows friend. Nothing is hidden from Him. No thought, and no deed!
He can cleanse you and free you! There may be consequences in your life because of your sin, but He will forgive you and He will walk with you through those consequences!
Isaiah 30:15
For thus saith the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength: and ye would not.
What are you facing today? Has your life been shaken by something, or are you fearful or anxious about the future?
Put your trust and your confidence in the Lord beloved! He will watch over those things that are weighing on your heart today! He is your refuge!
Proverbs 14:26
In the fear of the Lord is strong confidence: and His children shall have a place of refuge.
Abraham when his faith was tested, laid his only beloved son on the altar in obedience to the Lord, knowing He who called him was faithful!
John 4:13-14
Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: But whosoever drinketh of the Water that I shall give him shall never thirst;
But the Water that I shall give him shall be in him a Well of Water springing up into everlasting life.
Have you drank of the Water of Life?
Jesus told the woman at the well that if she had known the Gift of God, and Who He was, she would have asked Him for Living Water!
John 4:10
Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and Who it is that saith to thee, Give Me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of Him, and He would have given thee Living Water.
Have you forgotten to thank God? Sometimes we get so busy with life we forget to be thankful! Or maybe we don’t know the power of a thankful heart!
Are we like the nine lepers healed by Jesus in this story?
Luke 17:15-17
And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God, And fell down on his face at His feet, giving Him thanks: and he was a Samaritan. And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?
I was reminded recently that sometimes I’m like those nine lepers! I am blessed to have my family to prepare meals for and share fellowship with every Sunday. But instead of thanking God for that wonderful blessing,
I was reminded again today of something the Lord showed me in 2016. I felt impressed by the Lord then that a storm was coming that would be very strong.
As I prayed today, I saw what seemed like heavy snow. There was a distinct chill in the air.
In 2016 when I saw this storm I had felt a sense of warmth even in the midst of it, but today the chill remained, and I saw darkness after the snow stopped.
I believe the Lord is showing us that in the storms of our life, or in the storm that is coming upon the earth to try all those who dwell there, there will be times of complete darkness and uncertainty where we can’t see or feel His presence!
