The City of #Burlington, Vermont has offered a resolution against so-called 'transphobic stickering' which conservative locals have been posting around the city. Take a look at these stickers.
Other stickers in and around #Burlington include the following. Notice how Burlington considers these "legally protected free speech"
Now examine these stickers, also fine, according to Burlington's City Council... however, legally they're far more questionable as they express violent and/or targeted sentiments against @ChairmanCAP, Chris Felker, elected chairman of the Burlington Republican party.
Now let's examine the resolution. PDF format is available here. I want to draw your eyes to lines, 2-6, 12, 18-20 & 45-50, as they're deceptive AF. go.boarddocs.com/vt/burlingtonv…
2-6 singles out @ChairmanCAP and his constituents who are putting out the stickers that rankle these gendernuts. This legislation is largely a government censure of their politically protected free speech and activism.
18-20 condemns a protest where we confronted Out Right Vermont, whose members attacked @FredSargeant during Vermont Pride 2 weeks prior because he had a sign that said "Gay Not Queer." Reminder Fred is in his 70s and helped found NYC Pride. See:
45-50 Weaponizes the local government to attempt to intimidate conservatives while suggesting their politically protected behavior, their constitutional rights, are abrogated by changes to the law.
Looking at this situation in Burlington is a glance at the future of the USA...
