The Pakistani Intelligence Community has said that its unbinding assessment to the Election Commission of #Pakistan is that the security situation at this point in time, especially with regards to unconventional and insurgent threats, is not conducive for holding provincial
elections in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces. This is a consequence of the ongoing multi-front battle the Pakistani Joint Security Forces are fighting against a number of armed terrorist groups that aim to destabilise Pakistani society through fatal violence against
Pakistani civilians, soldiers and infrastructure.
The current security outlooks, risk assessments and the latest intelligence indicates a non-coverable threat to the lives of civilian during polling activities.
This was the unanimous opinion of the Pakistani Intelligence Community, comprised of federal, military and provincial agencies.
All sides also reiterated that holding general polls for the two provincial assemblies was a constitutional obligation.

It is heartbreaking to see the severe transformation of the public’s relationship with the military and the still-present downward, spiralling trend of the relations between the People, the soul of the nation-state, and the Armed Forces, the guarantor of its existential security.
The fact of the matter is that successive Pakistani leaders, of all kinds, have remained consistently unable to put duty & national interests above personal indulgences & ego.
The role of the people in aiding & abetting the election of these non-deserving dynasties is debatable.
Every day the people of this country wake up to a new wave of hopelessness and attack on our freedoms, future and right to decide our own destiny.
Every day our enemies hatch plans to further weaken our resolve and national interests.
