had another horror #sangyao idea, this time based on the manga "Can You Just Die, My Darling?". It has a 28 Days Later-style plague where the infected start hallucinating ways to murder the person they have the most romantic love for, with the hallucinations being more graphic/
gruesome based on how deep/obsessive their love is, and it's basically a given that eventually their willpower will eventually break down and they'll try to act out those hallucinations for real (and take out anyone trying to stop them or even just in the way).
Feat: Huaisang as the infected and 3-zun racing against the clock to cure him before he goes homicidally insane.

#sangchengyao bittersweet birthday fluff.

Jin Zixuan realizing (possibly with his wife's help) that if he doesn't intervene, his brother will be stuck planning *his* lavish birthday party and getting nothing for it, so he enlists Jiang Cheng and Nie Huaisang to kidnap A-Yao for
a week so his mother and father can't dump the party planning on him.

Nie Huaisang comes up with a surprisingly plausible (complete bullshit) story about investigating a Wen artifact that's been dug up because the possibility of power is the only thing that would get
Jin Guangyao out of Koi Tower without Jin Guangshan accusing him of neglecting his filial duties.

So Jiang Cheng and Nie Huaisang drag him off to Lotus Pier for a few days of relaxation and spoiling.

based on the manga "pupa", the Nie brothers wind up cursed during the early days of the Sunshot Campaign.

Nie Mingjue now has almost complete injury regeneration (more on why that's actually a curse later), while Nie Huaisang's been
inflicted with a cannibalistic hunger and the fangs, strength, and speed necessary to feed it.

trying to keep his brother safe from the war and everyone else safe from his brother, Mingjue unwillingly locks Huaisang away, using his own severed and regrown limbs to feed him for
as long as he can.

but war waits for no one, and it's while Mingjue is away on the battlefront that a squad of Wen soldiers attempt to kidnap Huaisang as a hostage, having no inkling of what he's become.

and he's been *starving* while his brother is gone.

a line in a fic chapter i did a quick lookover for gave me an idea for some very-slightly-dark #sangyao where meng yao manipulates nie huaisang just a little bit to find out how genuine his crush is.

he "confronts" nie huaisang about how much of a cuddly touchy-feely person he
is, and while he doesn't outright accuse nie huaisang of taking advantage of the help the way, say, jin guangshan flagrantly does, the implication that that's what people *think* he's doing is there.

for the next several weeks, he observes as nie huaisang, appropriately troubled
by the idea that he's been trampling everyone's boundaries and they've just been putting up with it because they have no other choice, begins drawing back to the point it almost looks like he's isolating himself.
