As you all already know, Eden Knight has been murdered by her family. Eden was one of the most brilliant and funny people you could ever come across on here. Being an Arab trans person from a conservative Muslim family myself, this is devastating news. I pray for justice.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Eden's relatives, and a handful of Americans are all liable for her death. She did not commit suicide, she was forced out of this world by people who refused to recognize her as a human being worthy of respect, dignity, and love. This was a crime.

This was a criminal act of the most extreme proportions. It is one thing to simply not accept your child, your loved one, your own blood. That alone is devastating enough. It is another thing entirely to hire thugs to forcibly detransition your blood and drive them to the grave.

I wish I could say so many things to her right now. I wish I could call her and tell her that she could come live with me and my friends for as long as she needed it. I wish I could tell her that there are other Arabs who love her, other people from the ummah who accepted her.

Eden was perfect, a shining beacon for so many. Forced detransition is murder. Eden Knight was murdered. She was ripped out from this world and from us. If God is truly here, then I hope He renders judgement on those who did this. In the meantime, I hope we render judgment too.

have so many other things I want to say. About the way Arab society writ large treats the gender nonconforming, about the way Islam is used by the powerful and patriarchal to oppress and eliminate us, about how America as a society does little to nothing to provide refuge for us.

And more.

But I can't feel anything at the moment other than incessant rage and grief at what's happened. I just want to tear someone's head off for Eden.

Please, if you are religious, pray for her and every trans person. And no matter your view, fight for some justice for her

Eden, along with so many others who have had their lives snuffed out by hateful scum, would not be satisfied with anything less than a world where we can leave in peace and in equality. You, too, should not be satisfied with anything less.

If you are a journalist or a person of note, or if you know someone who is, please spread the word and please raise the issue. There are thousands of people who will help, and we want justice for Eden Knight.
