Today I met with the Global Media team to discuss Generative AI. The excitement was insane! Never seen a topic like this at work before.
Here are the 14 examples of AI in Media I shared with them & why: 🧵
1) @skirano's Control Net experiment using the Nike logo.
Why? Content is king. Keeping up with demand requires volume, time & $$. Now with AI, brands (& fans) can generate high quality, stunning visuals for a fraction of the cost or time
3) Coca Cola's new commercial featuring Stable Diffusion AI graphics.
Why? This isn't just hobbyists and fans anymore. Now we have big brands diving into AI and showing it has real potential to generate commercial content.
Why? Another example of AI disrupting the content creation progress. The Disney guys equate it to 'pandoras box' and the animation shift 'when they made Toy Story'.
10) BuzzFeed announcement to use AI to enhance content.
Why? Not only can AI help with visual content, but it can also generate text. This is perfect for BuzzFeed quizzes and can be used for personalization. Stock sored, so was received positively.
11) Regina George's Daily Read - a daily horoscope with 100% AI-generated content.
Why? Exactly in line with BuzzFeed's plans, this site uses ChatGPT & DALL-E to generate custom content tailored to a specific character. This is marketing of the future!
14) Getty Images suing Stable Diffusion for copyright infringement.
Why? This is one of the bigger cases I have seen tackling a hot topic - where does AI training data come from and what happens when it's copyrighted? Def an important one to watch...
