Antonio Caponigro was consigliere to head of the Philly mob, Angelo Bruno. Caponigro ordered him killed. Two weeks later, Caponigro was garrotted.
The bit you'll be interested in is that Bruno owned an extermination company in Trenton, NJ, an aluminum products company in Hialeah, Florida, and a share in the Plaza Hotel in Havana, Cuba.
A casino was opened in the hotel during the 50s. It was owned by Angelo Bruno, along with Joseph "Hoboken Joe" Stassi and his son Joe Stassi Jr. Stassi was an associate of Meyer Lansky. The casino was destroyed in early January 1959 as Fidel Castro's rebel army overtook Havana.

Guillermo Hernández-Cartaya was a Cuban banker who first became notable when in 1961, after having previously joined the Brigade 2506/Operation 40 organization and participating in the Bay of Pigs Invasion, possibly in revenge for Fidel Castro having destroyed his livelihood.
Cartaya had been on very good terms with the former rulers of Cuba. He was sentenced to three years in jail for his part in the invasion. How he got out of jail is unclear.
Back in the US, he became infamous when his elaborate financial empire, centered around the World Finance Corporation which he founded in 1971, crashed in 1977. This was estimated to have cost depositors and taxpayers on three continents more than $50 million.
Despite confiscation of his real passport, he used forged passports to leave Miami after escaping from the UAE. In 1982, he was charged with several crimes, mainly money laundering, drug and arms trafficking, and embezzlement. All charges except income tax evasion were dropped
Rep Lester L. Wolff stated on 60 Minutes that Cartaya's WFC arranged for Castro a $100 mill loan to Colombia (the Colombian officials agreeing to aid cocaine smuggling). An informant claimed that Castro was an initial WFC investor.
