Wanna make a better Corned Beef Brisket than your neighbor?
This is the thread for you.
First things first: You gotta pat her dry and brown that beef. We are NOT boiling this meat. I repeat, DO NOT BOIL your Corned Beef!
Cast iron, smoking hot, meet beef and butter.
Make sure you use Irish butter or you've already failed.
Slap your meat fat side up in a roasting pan once it's browned on all sides.
Scrape the fond, you're gonna use it.
Put about an inch of good beef broth in the pan around the beef, and add your spices and the fond from the cast iron to the broth. Get some spices on the meat too.
Oven should be preheated to 325, cover the roasting pan with foil.
Into the oven, middle shelf, 3 hours.
Next up is potatoes.
Clean, prep and parboil your taters.
Say a prayer to your ancestors and thank them for braving the death ships and escaping from the evil deeds of the British bastards.
Don't overboil the taters. They're going in the roasting pan later.
You can prep some carrots and cabbage too, if you want. I didn't have carrots, and fuck cabbage, so there's no pictures of that.
My Corned Beef is still in the oven, but I can tell you for a FACT it's not gonna look sad as fuck like this one:

The Great Uprising🧵Pt 1:
On June 12th, 1381 the Poll Tax triggered the Great Uprising, also known as The Peasants' Revolt.
There had been massive unrest in the years prior, started by the death of nearly half the population in the Black Death in 1348-1350. Image
The massive death toll meant that land owners and developers had to compete fiercely for laborers, and access to resources and wages skyrocketed.
The lords, led by their bankers, wouldn't let that stand, so passed the Ordinance of Labourers (1349) and Statute of Labourers (1351). Image
Both of these laws were designed to freeze labor wages at pre-Black Death levels. To compound the indignity of this banker-driven attack, they also made refusing a contract a crime punishable by beatings, brandings, imprisonment and prevention of peasants leaving the manors. Image

Zoom out from 1 degree and show the logarithmic chart, you dip
Here, that's better, now we can see the whole thing and not just the part you want to frighten people with: Image
Also, did you know that most temperature measurements are what would qualify as tainted data? Image

"Italian Jews or Roman Jews can be used in a broad sense to mean all Jews living in or with roots in Italy, or, in a narrower sense, to mean the Italkim, an ancient community living in Italy since the Ancient Roman era, who use the Italian liturgy as distinct from the Sephardic." Image
