🧵 A detailed look at why the rape allegations against Melanie Martinez are false

The first thing to address and get out of the way is the infamous “she never said no” line. People either viewed this as melanie admitting the statements were true or add “to what we chose to do together” in context but let's look at what she was referring to

As people immediately demanded for proof, Timothy Heller shared this image of Melanie in handcuffs and a blindfold from a lover's kit they bought at the store. In interviews Heller describes it as a game that was meant to be funny until Melanie supposedly took it too far twitter.com/i/web/status/1…

So in context, Melanie (and perhaps her team) opened Twitter to an allegation that *in that photo* she is pressuring another party into engaging in sexual activity when it was not the case as Timothy herself stated there. The game was intended to be friendly

Melanie's statement is vague but it does not state that she thought Timothy wanted to have sex with her. She stated she hat her and Heller “shared was a close friendship” to assert that sexual relations from Timothy did not occur and the game in that image was a friendly joke

Timothy alleged the assault occurred on June 25 but when the image is put into context with Timothy's accusation, the date does not matchup since Melanie was touring. Timothy also states she looked at her iCloud date to determine it was June 25 but many evidence shows May 6

But in her original statement, she fails to mention the purchasing of the lover's kit or any indication that this was being played before the alleged assault. This shows she deliberately used a friendly game to paint a narrative that is false, not that she had an unclear memory

Thus when this information was being spread, Melanie thanked her fans for revealing her false statements. Anyone still referring to her as a rap*st is saying it out of uncertainty or because they have other reasons to hate Melanie

Timothy blamed the new version of her story on her iCloud being buggy which was odd since all of her previous iCloud dates were accurate

Following Timothy's story going viral, a barrage of women who had previously been friends with Melanie released their bitterness, one of them claiming to be “relieved” at the news that Melanie had assaulted someone, and one of them including Maddie Carina

Unlike the other 3 women Maddie, who is a friend of Timothy's as well, is the only one to claim that Melanie coerced her. In deleted tweets, Maddie also claimed things like Melanie payed people to be her friends when they are just her employees whom she's friends with

Being friends with Timothy and also making similar remarks as the women Melanie cut off is why her tweet is often regarded as someone else who is bitter. It is understandable why she wouldn't attempt to prove her claims but even then she is not making a claim to begin with

Following the onslaught Melanie then released her song ‘Piggyback’ on SoundCloud addressing all of the women. She describes people who she had to carry on her back because she gave them a job and now they are coming back for blood after being cut off

Timothy claimed she would tell this story to people for years and that it was hard to accept the truth even though she still publicly supported Melanie up until the release of her single. When her single dropped it seems something suddenly changed

One of the friends in question that Timothy spoke to is Globelamp. She is an artist whom had been known to frequently berate Melanie and she eventually switched up after feeling used only to attack Melanie and her fans

Shortly after that tweet, Globelamp went on a spree of leaking texts between her and Heller that confirmed what most people already thought when they chose to believe Melanie

Timothy says the only problem [about the person allegedly assaulted] her is her narcissism

Timothy also claimed Melanie contacted her after alluding the allegations would be posted but never provided any screenshots of the logs from her or her boyfriend's phone. She then switched up later saying Melanie hasn't contacted her

Melanie has yet to speak on the situation again or take legal action, but she expresses her thoughts in her music

If this case was settled in court instead of twitter the verdict would go in Melanie's favor simply because the statements are proven not to be true. Bringing this incident up will only cause more harassment to both women except Melanie will have millions of fans supporting her
