SitRep - 20/03/23 - Deeper and deeper

An overview of the daily events in the war between Russia and Ukraine. The fireworks came at the end of the day. Ukraine attacked Dzhankoy railway station on Crimea. The GUR reported that it destroyed Kalibr-NK cruise missiles.

As usual we start with Russian losses per 20/03/23 reported by the Ukrainian general staff. We include visually confirmed captured, damaged or destroyed enemy equipment or personnel.

+700 men
+5 tanks
+16 APCs
+9 artillery systems
+2 AD systems
+1 UAV
Happened two days ago, a Ka-52 helicopter destroyed
Russian infantry targeted and presumably destroyed in Yahidne, north of Bakhmut
Two enemy assault group annihilated by the K2 unit, south of Ivanivske near Bakhmut. The AFU is pushing back Russians there lately.
In the Kupyansk direction, an enemy ammunition site was discovered and destroyed
Bakhmut direction, daily infantry spotting and targeting via drones.
Near Verkhn'okam'yanka (Thanks @EerikMatero for geo) a Russian mine barrier was destroyed from the air.

Two armored carriers destroyed by Ukrainian FPV drones
Reportedly a Russian fighter jet crashed near Donetsk. It is not clear what type.
Two Russian recon UAVs were shot down over Mykolaiv oblast
In Dhzankoy, the railway station of Dzhankoy was attacked.
Reportedly Kalibr-NK cruise missiles were destroyed.
Let's continue with general events. Money is being raised for the ICC.
The EU agreed on a 12 month production plan for ammunition for Ukraine
Xi met with Putin in Moscow.
The US announced another important package from DoD stocks which include mainly all necessary ammunition.
German Marders are already on their way to Ukraine, said the Minister of Defense of Germany, Boris Pistorius.
Avdiivka: Ukrainian General Staff reports an unsuccesful Russian attack in the area of Berdychi. ISW reports Russian advance towards Stepove. So far, no visual evidence has been given for either Krasnohorivka/Stepove. Also fighting near Sjeverne is reported.
Bakhmut: In the southern area, fighting continues around the Mig-17 monument/Tchaikovsky St. A little further west of it, Russian forces have been driven back after a series of Ukrainian counter-attacks. The buffer around Ivanivske is (again) decent. North of Bakhmut no changes.
Prigozhin, head of Wagner PMC seems to be worried about the lack of Russian advance in the area and the upcoming Ukrainian offensive. Calling desperately for help, even leaking his own letter to Shoigu to the public in the hope of speeding up the process.
Russian troops continue to launch attacks west of Kreminna. In recent days a breakthrough was forced north of Dibrova, which was again repulsed by Ukrainian troops. Russian attacks have been limited in the past 24 hours. Ukrainian troops seem to have a strong defense there.

Meeting between Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping begins in the Kremlin. Xi called Putin a 'dear friend'.

Calling a wanted war criminal a friend makes you an accomplice to this war and nothing different than Assad, Lukashenko and other dictatorial regimes.
"Next year there are elections and i am sure that people will support you," Xi said.
That Xi ft. Putin picture I just posted was indeed AI generated like I expected. It would have been the biggest embarrasment ever.
