The European Framework of Reference for Languages.
Thread🧵 #langtwt
The European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) divides language proficiency into 6 levels, ranging from A1 (beginner) to C2 (proficient). Each level is associated with a set of skills and knowledge that learners should be able to demonstrate in order to achieve it.
Some of the languages most commonly evaluated with the CEFR include:
English
French
German
Spanish
Italian
Portuguese
Russian
Mandarin Chinese
Japanese
Arabic
In addition to these, the CEFR has also been applied to other languages, such as Turkish, Korean, Polish, Swedish, Dutch
Greek, Finnish, and many others. The CEFR provides a detailed description of language proficiency levels in all languages, making it a widely used framework for language teaching, learning, and assessment around the world.
Here is a brief overview of each level and what it entails:
Level A1: Beginner
At the A1 level, learners are able to understand and use very basic phrases and expressions related to everyday situations.
Level A2: Elementary
Learners can communicate in simple and routine tasks that require a direct exchange of information on familiar topics. They can understand and use basic expressions related to everyday situations such as shopping, travelling, and ordering food.
Level B1: Intermediate
Learners can understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar topics related to work, school, leisure activities, etc. They can interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers possible.
Level B2: Upper-Intermediate
They can understand the main ideas of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in their field of specialization. They can interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that allows for regular interaction+
+with native speakers without strain for either party. They can also produce clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects and explain a viewpoint on a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options.
Level C1: Advanced
Learners can understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts, and recognize implicit meaning. They can express themselves fluently and spontaneously without much obvious searching for expressions. They can use language flexibly and effectively for social, +
+academic and professional purposes. They can produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, showing controlled use of organizational patterns, connectors, and cohesive devices.
Level C2: Proficient
Learners can easily understand virtually everything heard or read. They can summarize information from different spoken and written sources, reconstructing arguments and accounts in a coherent presentation.
They can express themselves spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in the most complex situations.
These levels provide a comprehensive framework for measuring language proficiency across a wide range of contexts and settings.
They also help learners set realistic goals for language learning and teachers design effective language learning programs.

Bueno, mucho he hablado sobre la herida materna, sobre el peso que traemos cargando y demás. Ojalá este hilo llegue a muchas personas y se animen a leer el libro.
Sanar la herida materna, libro de Bethany Webster.
Abro hilo.
'La herida materna es un tipo de trauma familiar y cultural especĂfico del patriarcado'.
Tanto hombres como mujeres sufren la herida materna y esta se manifiesta en cuatro niveles: en el ámbito personal, cultural, espiritual y planetario.
