‘Jet Zero’ cannot reduce emissions in line with the UK’s legally binding climate commitments. It is based on plans to expand aviation and wishful thinking about the ability of “pie in the sky technologies” to balance out the increased emissions.🧵 2/
In just the last few weeks - ‘Jet Zero’ received two death blows from The Royal Society and Imperial College London who analysed all the measures that the government proposes in ‘Jet Zero’ to cut aviation emissions. They were all judged to be INADEQUATE. 🧵3/
The key grounds on which the challenge will be heard in the High Court are….
