I’m at @bmi1854 for the @DigitalNNS project launch. The project headed by @paulineroche aims to maximise opportunities for digital inclusion across Birmingham. I’m been privileged to hear more as part of the project advisory group but looking forward to the official launch!

Really interesting to hear @FreddieQ talk about data connectivity should be considered a utility and how sufficient and affordable data plans as well as national device banks need to a desired outcome. #digitalNNS
One of the things I’ve been doing in the day job is writing grant applications / reporting on work we’ve been doing at @StBasilsCharity to ensure young people have access to devices for work, for education and for connecting with their support networks. #digitalNNS
Always great to hear another person who wears many hats - @katdixon2012 from @wearesnook talking about digital exclusion is a cause and consequence of social inequality, and how it is often circular. #digitalNNS
“If you’re cut of from the digital work, you’re cut off from the real world” @katdixon2012 talks about people disproportionately affected by #digitalPoverty, including young people, care leavers, people experiencing homelessness…something we see at @StBasilsCharity. #digitalNNS
Really good question from the audience about organisations giving out devices but not the training on how to use them. Discussions on lack of #JoiningTheDots how we solve that in local communities #DigitalNNS
