CCTV FOLLIES 3.24 Personality cult (part two)
-Today's cold open starts in Moscow, but as ever, the first three syllables uttered, and uttered in the most unguent and urgent way are: (extended drumroll)
...XI JIN PING!
Xi Jinping is transforming Russia through his Belt and Road Initiative. And not just Russia, but the world "will follow Xi's example to achieve peaceful development, use philosophy to harmonize all nations, and achieve the building of great world community."
Laos is another powerful example. China is using the impoverished, landlocked country as part of its push for a joint prosperity sphere in Southeast Asia.
(note the nine-dash line wrapped around Taiwan and encircling the South China Sea as far south as Borneo)
"Taking the people's heart as his heart and the interests of the world as his interests, President Xi’s approach of acting on his own, governing the country and caring for the world moves participants..."
Xi was also a big hit at Nazarbayev University, if you remember that one.
How best to put it? Xi is the star, the hit, the high wherever he goes. He stands in the center of every group picture, he is trailed by world leaders anxious to get in a word with his aloof person.
They're still talking about his visit in nearly every place he's ever visited
He is the belt, he is the road.
Hailed near and far as a great visionary...
The UN is where he shines especially bright...
Wisdom met with adoration equals power.
The Chinese way isn't the only way, but it's up there with the best, and probably is the best, all modesty aside.
Even exotic countries with unusual rooftops would agree...
Xi is working for humankind.
And the children! Xi not only brings joy to the naive tykes of the world, but his inspiration gets fully grown men acting like silly kids, full of thumb-up enthusiasm.
Among other things, China gives anonymous aid to the needy with no strings attached.
Saudi Arabia is another great case study of Xi inspiring Xi-style development. Let the desert bloom!
Did you ever wonder if there is a solution for climate change? It causes ice to melt and poor people to beg for food.
Look no further than to China...
(where the sun has been made to stand still in the sky for hours on end during extended sunsets)
China has the answer and the answers...
China cares about the earth...
(And China attacks climate change aggressively, flying big jets, building luxurious fast trains, launching huge cargo ships and supplying the world with goods so they don't have to be manufactured at home.)
During this time of trouble, the restive populace is sure to be calmed by this new publication highlighting Xi Jinping's penetrating insights into high-level science
Yet another publication by the world's greatest freelance writer:
Xi Jinping Thought on Strong Military
Why read it once when you can read it three times?
The next ten minutes is devoted to some reassuring, inspirational shots of Xi Jinping who has total control of the military and wants the world to know it.
Patrick Chovanec, a consultant at Silvercrest Asset Mgmt has done some China virtue-signaling by compiling photos about the 1989 Tiananmen demonstrations, an event he evidently knows little about.
(a thread)
To do this, he compiled over a dozen of my photos on his blog , and when I brought this to his attention, he made no effort to credit the photos or reveal where he got them from. patrickchovanec.com/about/
Some of the photos now have a life of their own on the internet, including the above photo, (caption by Chovanec) which has been used by conspiratorial pro-China bloggers as proof of a "color revolution."
;-)
A political bible with quasi-religious overtones is unveiled like a holy relic.
A book by Xi Jinping! In English!
CCTV news shows the entire table of contents
Wow. It sure looks like a gripping read. Find a comfy chair, put the kettle on and settle for a long enlightening read.
CCTV FOLLIES: 5.26
China state TV doubles down on dubious Russia claims about "secret" US bio-labs in Ukraine.
(from May 26 Xinwen Lianbo)
Anchor Li Zimeng couches the accusations in the language of Russia's Defense Ministry, but the CCTV editors like the story enough for it to get major airtime.
The Russia Defense Ministry, solid architectural monolith that it is, is portrayed as a presumably authoritative source.
Read all about it! Top of the news! Yet another much-heralded publication by the indefatigable freelance writer Xi Jinping, whose excessive narcissism is nicely balanced with pictures of himself.
Up next, a nostalgic look back to 2017 when this man was laying the foundation of today's greatness.
Among many, many other incredible, almost super-human accomplishments, he created a city out of dust.
