Some news about the Female Politicians 48 Party (NHK Party) - Their candidate in April's Setagaya city council election will be Yoshikawa Hasumin, a former Japan Self-Defense Force nurse who is set to debut as a porn actress sometime after the election.

One of the most-viewed articles on Yahoo Japan today is an article about the party organizing a press conference at which Yoshikawa announced she had lied about her CV, and had worked in the sex industry while still an active duty member of the JSDF. news.yahoo.co.jp/articles/99ce8…

Yoshikawa said that her superiors engaged in "power harassment" against her, such as verbal abuse about her job performance, and needed to earn a lot of money quickly to pay off her tuition so she could quit the JSDF. She is running as an anti-harassment candidate.

Earlier this month the Female Politicians Party 48 Party rented out a bar and offered a special menu to help promote Yoshikawa's candidacy. Customers who bought an expensive bottle of champagne could take a picture with Yoshikawa in a bunny costume.

Yoshikawa was also present at a small demonstration that party members held earlier this month to protest the Upper House's decision to expel GaaSyy, one of their party's lawmakers who is now on facing arrest if he ever returns to Japan.

Here is a short video advertisement in which Yoshikawa introduces herself as a former member of the JSDF who is now working in the sex industry. She says she supports efforts to reform the JSDF and shares personal LINE account information with voters.

In a tweet earlier today, Yoshikawa thanked the Female Politicians 48 Party for being the party that nominates people from the adult film industry. She is grateful to the sex industry for providing opportunities to make a lot of money to pay off her tuition debt & quit the JSDF.
