This thread: Men’s free skate press conference at #WorldFigure
Uno: I'm just happy about all of this because in both programs, I did better than what I expected. In the FS, there were mistakes here and there, I was able to put together the best performance I could do, so I'm very happy #WorldFigure
Cha: I'm very happy about the medal today, and about how I skated and what I did today. I really trained hard and I really want to enjoy today - and I gave everything, so I'm very happy about it #WorldFigure
Malinin: I'm just very grateful for the performance that I put out -I've worked so hard the past few weeks to prep for it. I can't thank all the skaters, coaches, volunteers enough to make this competition possible. It's one of my favorite comps that I've competed at #WorldFigure
Uno: If you look back at my long career, I've had similar experiences [re: bad practices]. There are always people behind me to support me - injuries, bad shape. In the past it was my family; now it's Marin, Stephane, and my entire team supporting me #WorldFigure
Malinin: The main reason I play soccer to warm up because I enjoyed it as a kid. I incorporate it in my warmup because it just warms up my whole body - I just do some tricks and I warm up pretty well #WorldFigure
Cha: If I think about Worlds, it's always not good memories for me. But finally, I have a great memory. I had to withdraw last year because the hook on my boots broke. #WorldFigure
Cha: This season, I had to change my skates right before I came here because the hook broke again. But last year's experience helped me here. I'm always so grateful that I can skate with great skaters #WorldFigure
Malinin: Couple things I noticed about this comp - sometimes, practices don't go how you want them to go, and it's not a huge part in how you compete. It's beneficial to have good practice - but it comes down to how you feel right when you get on the ice #WorldFigure
Malinin: I also learned that, sometimes, it's ok to lower the risk and go for a cleaner skate - that may be beneficial to do next season, to lower the standards a bit. #WorldFigure
Cha [on 3 spots for Korea]: It's the happiest part for me - after Beijing, I was talking to my teammates and family, maybe the next Olympics, I can give 3 spots for the Korean men. It's such an honor to earn that for next Worlds #WorldFigure
Uno: If I were the person watching a program, I would be attracted to a program that resonates with people's hearts. I've been skating for so long, and I know that going into comps, I have to control my emotions. #WorldFigure
Uno: Sometimes comps are stressful and I can't perform like I trained or overthink or be afraid of making mistakes. But I went through all of this, I realized I just need to perform the way I trained. #WorldFigure
Uno: I watched my GPF performance, it was good but it didn't resonate with people's hearts. Delivering the results is good, but looking at what I want as a skater is important, so I'm going to keep on pushing for that from now on #WorldFigure
Uno: Although I don't speak much English, every time I see Ilia and Junhwan, we greet each other with big smiles. We don't need language, we just know that we like each other a lot. #WorldFigure
Uno: Ilia came over after he skated in the SP and told me he was concerned about my injury and encouraged me and told me I can do it. So we are good buddies even though we compete against each other #WorldFigure
Cha: We are all great friends. As a competitor, we are focused on the competition. But outside of it, we are always talking to each other and very friendly. I always want to be a good friend and skate together #WorldFigure
Malinin: We are not really competing against each other, and more against ourselves. Outside competition, we have good communications even if we don't speak each other's languages. We always support each other - it's the great thing about figure skating #WorldFigure
Malinin: With the 4A, I'm really honored that I could get the points I got here. It means so much to me - you have to take risks and you look back, and there's no need to take the risks and stay clean #WorldFigure
Malinin: For the components, doing these difficult jumps, you put so much energy in that you can't really perform the way you want to. Next season, I really want to focus on performing to the audience #WorldFigure

Chock/Bates: It feels amazing! I'm still processing everything - it's been a really big goal for us for a long time. It's an incredibly experience to accomplish it here in front of the incredible crowd. They were literally to the roof of the arena today #WorldFigure
Guignard/Fabbri: This medal for us means so much. It's an incredible reward for many years of hard work, difficult moments, ups and downs. We still have to process it, we can't believe we got silver here - it feels really great #WorldFigure

Sakamoto: Ideally, I would skate clean and end with a smile. But I made the same mistake as 4yrs ago, so I'm disappointed. But I was able to recover and add the 3T - so I think I've grown from 4 years ago #WorldFigure
Lee: This season, the first half was very rough. But I tried to not give up and come back. This was my first time at Worlds, so I wanted to come - I achieved everything I wanted to. I brought everything to the audience #WorldFigure

Guignard/Fabbri: It was the same feeling for us - it was a great crowd, great atmosphere. Skating was really easy for us tonight. We worked a lot on both programs, and we were very happy we performed the way we wanted to #WorldFigure

Uno: Score-wise and content, it wasn't all that bad. I had some missteps in the stepseq, and my 4T3T became 4T2T. But I've been working on this SP for the whole year, and I ahve no regrest #WorldFigure
Malinin: I came here to deliver, and I came here to perform and grind it out. I was so happy to be able to put out this performance in front of the Japanese crowd - I'm very happy about it #WorldFigure
Meanwhile, in between pairs practice and the pairs competition, there’s gala practice (!!) - Nathan Chen, Boyang Jin, and Vincent Zhou #Beijing2022
Boyang Jin skating to Westlife’s cover of Sarah McLachlan’s Angel for the exhibition. I thought I was in an ASPCA commercial with sad dogs. #Beijing2022
No music runthrus here but I’m pretty sure I just saw Caravan choreography #Beijing2022
