The title of my🧵 is Shikwa: In Urdu. Because it is my most loved language.

I am from Indian occupied Kashmir. During my studies in India, I was the only Muslim in my class, rest 79 were Hindus.
My classmates would often start political discussions to provoke me. ++

Since I was/am highly motivated for Kashmirs Azadi,
(Azadi I like to call it because it is a Urdu word. I love Urdu, it is the language of Muslims of subcontinent, but more importantly it connects us with Pakistan). So the discussion would kickstart at a canteen, ++

In library, in the lawns, or inside classroom.
Every time they would drag in Pakistan and eventually Pakistan army. I would defend both, risking myself to get lynched. You know Indian love to lynch Muslims.
In our apartment, we won’t sleep without listening to ++

Pakistan national anthem and ISPR songs. It had become a routine. Off course my roommates were Kashmiris. 😊

Back home in Kashmir, Pakistan army was highly respected. So much that some celebrate 17 August as Zia day. To commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of ++

Zia ul Haq. Shaheed because he was killed by the Americans, the enemy.

We have also raised the posters of General Raheel Sharif at Jamia Masjid, Srinagar during 2016 protests.

Now what went wrong? Why are Kashmiris mad and angry at Pakistan army? ++

You see despite this much love and respect, we don’t only have emotions but brains too. Kashmiris are well read people. We know the history of both India and Pakistan.
Many Kashmiris know Pakistan more than Pakistanis themselves. Therefore, we know what role Pakistani ++

politicians and army has played. But there is always a saturation point, where you burst. Just like PTI supporters nowadays, in the past they supported army like anything. But now when the same army betrayed them, they are angry.

Same goes for us Kashmiris, we don’t ++

support the army for our personal interests but for Pakistan. For Kashmiris, Pakistan used to be the third holy place after Mecca and Madina.
So the enemy of Pakistan is our enemy.

We have now also reached to our saturation level. We understand now, that the Pakistan ++

army does not work in the interests of Pakistan. If they care about anything that is their own institution. They don’t give two hoots about our emotions and interests. It takes time to admit the truth specially when you love someone badly.
It took me and many of my comrades ++

some time to admit that Pakistan army is responsible for almost all the problems of Pakistan. They were powerful enough to fix the country but they did not. They created many issues which also include some terror outfits like TTP, created crook politicians and supported ++

them when it suited them. They declared patriots as traitors and they disintegrated our beloved Pakistan and surrendered before India. This is the biggest pain we carry in our hearts.

They did not help Kashmirs when we needed them the most.

Most importantly, they ++

turned out to be more loyal to the United States than our Pakistan.

Despite all this they call us traitors. Wah
