Coaches and course creators... it's urgent to talk about the #AIrevolution -- who needs our courses/coaching when they can easily use one of many intelligent chatbots to be private tutors/coaches for much cheaper & faster?
"For fun, I’ve been asking chatGPT occasionally to act as my coach when I need motivation, clarity or support. It does a really good job!"
-- saw this in an FB group of people who are my ideal clients. A thoughtful, psychologically-savvy person wrote that.
Another ideal client wrote:
"I've just been having a lot of fun asking really tricky questions and getting great answers. One of the things I've noticed is that chat-gpt 4 is a MUCH better listener and MUCH better at validating what I'm saying than just about any human I know."
--and that was from one of the most deeply thinking/feeling human beings that I know.
Within a year, video-chatbots will be so very convenient, private, and human-like (good at mimicking co-regulation), that most people won't want to wait for an appointment with a human that costs 5-10x as much and is sometimes more insensitive and misunderstanding than a bot.
I'll be back tomorrow with some thoughts on what are the defensible factors / what we can do to stay relevant.
We need to use AI to amplify our work so that the core is no longer about teaching / info transfer... but to uplevel our creativity and connection to other humans...
Have you built a loyal audience who feel deeply connected to your personality / energy signature?
Do you have heart-to-heart connections with colleagues or affiliates who are willing to promote you regularly?
Do you consistently have contrarian views (non-mainstream / different from what AI will regurgitate) that your audience finds helpful?
Have you moved towards doing more authentic videos (you talking sincerely) instead of only text-based content or images or stock-photo videos?
Ultimately, create a heart-to-heart community of customers / clients / students that you facilitate. If they feel connected to one another and your facilitation really helps with that, then perhaps it'll continue to be valuable in the face of even the best chatbots...
There will be a renaissance of local offerings: touch-based services, in-person workshops and retreats, and in-office counseling and therapy. The more embodied the experience, the harder for AI to replicate.
As for new solopreneurs who haven't built an audience:
1. Of course, it's time to start. This helps you secure your future.
2. You don't need a huge audience to have a financially thriving business. Just 20 clients paying you $500/month is $10K/month.
The more unique knowledge and stories and genuine care you can bring to your network (via netcaring and authentic content sharing) the sooner you can find those 20 clients.

Money isn't traded for value -- it's traded for wants. People pay for what they want, not necessary the "value" you think you provide.
Money *is* traded for value -- but only when the value (in the customer's mind) of your product is higher than the value of other products they can easily access, including *free* solutions they can use to solve their issue.
The more they engage with your content, the more value your presence will become for them, and the less they'll value your competitors.
Showing up consistently, doing similar things again, and again. Growth that can't be perceived, except for occasional bigger events like the results of a launch which hides all the gradual work that took place along the way.
