PIZZA TOWER MUSICAL FACTS & INFLUENCES THREAD

1] funiculi holiday

This song was inspired by a lot of songs off of Fuzita Blender's album "holiday plug in" (which is where the holiday in the title comes from)

2] Put On A Show!!

Something that brings me a strange sense of joy is that no one has found the "migi no supika" (at least i think that's what it says) sample yet. it's still crazy to me that people have found the scream and "you found the secret message" samples [1/2]

and also i must add, i frequently "you found the secret message" sample is sort of producer tag in a way. you can hear it in many other of my songs [2/2]

3] Dungeon Freakshow

I only really have 2 things to say about this one.
one, im honestly surprised that people didnt hate the new version that replaced the samples more lol. while i was making it i was like "damn people r gonna b pissed when they hear this". [1/2]

and two, trying to replay that bass guitar sample in the slowdown section and editing it to fit the same vibe as the original was so damn annoying lol. [2/2]

4] Secret Hoppin' (Tower Mix)

Originally, the Pizzascape secret was gonna play in every single level. This changed when someone commented suggesting the idea of it being different for each stage. I thought it was cool so I actually did it. My fav secret in this mix is Dungeon.

5] Oregano Mirage

This one is so weird because to me, it doesn't even sound like I made it lol. This is the song I have the least recollection of making. I do remember having fun with that Oud sample (that was also used in Sonic Unleashed)

6] Oregano UFO

I think it's really funny that the UFO section is really short but the song for it is longer than the first part. This song was inspired by Sungazer's Bird On The Wing (mostly the drums)

7] Mort's Farm

Making it sound like Jason's Theme from Home Movies was a complete accident that I didn't notice until after i finished the song. Also I don't think people realise that the "high pitched bg noises" are literally just birds chirping?? people seem 2 b annoyed by it.

8] What's On The Kids Menu

i dont have much to say other than i just really like this song im glad it got to be used in the final game.

9] Yeehaw Deliveryboy

I changed the capitalisation of the B in deliveryboy because i thought it looked cooler. also the outro that's only present in the ost version is there because i think it works better as a single song, while the other one works better in-game.

10] Secret Hoppin' (Outdoors Mix)

My favorite from this one is Fun Farm's secret.

11] Wednesdays

This one bares a resemblance to my song 4th Dimension Vacation. I chose to do this because of the obvious connection of Vacation theming.

12] mmm yes put the tree on my pizza

The inferior one of the two Gnome Forest songs.
The name came from me saying it out loud while making the song and going "hehe thats funny".

13] gustavo.

This song's composition is based off an old song from around 2019. At first I thought it was pretty much lost media at this point but I went deep into the depths of hell and retrieved this wip version of it

14] Wudpecker

This song is one of my favorite's I've made for the game. Someone said it reminded them of Kirby and it made me realise how much Kirby's music has seeped into my brain without me knowing. It's also one of Mr. Sauceman's favorites.

15] Good Eatin'

Part's of this song also borrow from an older song of mine. This one from around 2018 I believe.

16] Secret Hoppin' (Vacation Mix)

Crust Cove's secret, while obviously having Tropical Crusts' motif, also plays the Cold Spaghetti bassline in certain moments.

My favorites from this one are both Golf's and Crust Cove's secret.

17] Thursdays

Aside from some of the secret themes, this was one of the last songs I made for the game.

18] Don't Preheat Your Oven Because If You Do The Song Wont Play

I think this one's also my favorite song I made for the game. It was inspired by Toastopia from PikuNiku (which is a really good game I enjoy it alot).

19] Celcius Troubles

Every time I listen back to this I wonder how thick my patience was for writing that little guitar solo that comes in like at a minute in. If I tried to do that now I would get bored and go to sleep.

20] Secret Hoppin' (Factory Mix)

This one goes so hard musically like I legitimately love all of them here.
I think in Sewer's secret, I did more compositionally than I usually do for each secret song

I think something I should touch on about all the Secret Themes. At the end, since the songs really don't change that much, I try to include some moment of beauty. This are most evident in Freezer's & Golf's secret.

21] Pizza Time Never Ends!!

I think the same thing I said about moments of beauty can be applied to this song as well, although not as apparent here. Through this cacophony of noise you get this beautiful section with the warioware diy soundfont (at around 3 minutes in) [1/2]

It was also *loosely* inspired by this one Death Grips song.

22] Secret Hoppin' (Traumatized Mix)

These two secret songs were interesting to make because it took me out of the usual pretty-chord-mode of composing I'm usually in when making music.

23] Pizza Pie-Ing

As you might already know, this was made for a scrapped circus level. There's another version of this song that exists for the second part of the level that's more fast paced & has this cool part in the middle that has cool chords. u will never hear it tho lol

Bonus] Leaning Dream

definitely did not forget about this song.

This song has a FrankJavCee sample on the OST version but it's turned down so low it's barely recognisable.

Also the reason it's called "space" in certain places is because that was the filename. silly mistake!!
