Welcome to the Starfleet Museum. Take a tour of some of the most legendary ships in the history of Starfleet. Tour the station and explore the LEGACY of those that came before. #StarTrekPicard *THREAD*
A top view look at the ships of the Museum. Scale chart reference from #StarTrekPicard S3:E6 for folks following along at home.
Clockwise from the top we have the USS Excelsior, The Akira Class USS Sentinel, The Constitution Class USS New Jersey, and the USS Stargazer the former command of Jean Luc Picard. #StarTrekPicard
Hiding among the relics and appearing to be cloaked is the USS Titan, Next is the ...USS ENTERPISE - A, Klingon Bird of Prey renamed The HMS Bounty, and The Klingon Battle Cruiser - Kronos One #StarTrekPicard
If you hear a loud sound that is a ceremonial CANON going off in honor of the USS Enterprise NX-01 Refit, next we have the USS Saratoga (not the caption), The USS Lexington, and one of the highlights of the tour. The USS Voyager in all of it's glory. #StarTrekPicard
On the Lower Level of the Station, we have the Saber Class USS Argo. Being repaired at the moment is the USS Pioneer, which eagle eyed viewers might have caught in the end credit sequence. A little ship called the USS Defiant, and a fully intact Romulan Warbird. #StarTrekPicard
On Display now on the lower level, replacing the USS Pioneer, we have a special treat. The USS Wersching. A very, very, special ship, that we hope visitors will appreciate. #StarTrekPicard
So... let's talk cloaking devices. Let's say you have to steal a ship, or hide a ship. How are you going to do it. Stealing a Cloaking Device would be a good idea. But what does one look like? This is one in 2269 hmm, not the right one.
Quark and Rom snuck off with a cloaking device from the Rotarran in “The Emperor’s New Cloak” directed by none other than @levarburton but that was a 2372 Cloaking device. We need a 2285 one. Damn... keep looking.
Well if I owned a 2285 Klingon Bird of Prey and needed to restore it, I probably would go to my handy dandy Hayes Manual written by Rick Sternbach and @BenCSRobinson . There it is! Now, just keep it away from @MicaBurton and @AshleiSC they always break my toys.
🧵On May 10th 2010 I was responsible for Twitter shutting down. I know. Sounds crazy, but it happened. It was my fault Ashton. Sorry about that. Want to know what happened... keep reading.
I got hired to direct a music video for my favorite band @accepttheband who was getting back together after almost 15 years of not putting out any new music. So it was exciting. We did an epic shoot with Fire, Tanks and burning guitars. It was 80's Metal Awesome.
We posted the behind the scenes clip and media started getting excited. It was turning into a big deal. blabbermouth.net/news/accept-be…
Here is some early concept art that we did of the two USS Titans during the refit process. It was a fun exploration of how things might have happened. Artwork by John Eaves with modeling by @_Pundus_#StarTrekPicard
Why reuse and not just replicate? Like Dilithium, and Latinim, there are lots of materials that can't be replicated. Sadly Voyager found this out the hard way as Nacelle components are made of a composite of polysilicate verterium and monocrystal cortenum. Can't be replicated.
16 Years ago the Federation lost the Utopia Planitia Fleetyards, this was not just machinery, and infrastructure but raw materials that are used to manufacture ships. A disaster of that scale, caused a massive of upheaval in the starship construction process. #StarTrekPicard
