Just now, @charlie_savage telling @RichardLui that it’s Robert Costello who has been offered up by Trump’s defense team to appear before the grand jury tomorrow.
“Under New York law, a person who is expected to be indicted can request that a witness appear on his or her behalf. Mr. Trump’s lawyers have asked that Mr. Costello testify, but the final decision rests with the grand jury; it is unclear whether they have made a decision.”
NEW: Trump’s lawyers, including Alina Habba, get Rule 11-sanctioned by federal judge and must pay $50,000 in sanctions, plus attorney’s fees and costs, due to bringing bad faith litigation in Florida.
