The Lake View public park is a huge improvement and tourist magnet but there's an abandoned building that's designed as an eatery and is most probably languishing because of some CDA red tape. It's right next to the lake with a huge outdoor area.
The decades-old viewpoint and tea stall on the other side of the lake were also blocked due to "security reasons" and never reopened and the random spots towards Bani Gala are too far for most people to make a spontaneous plan.
Imagine Karachi without Kolachi.
2. "Revolving Restuarant" / top floors of a high rise in the Blue Area.
Most of these buildings may have insurance issues around hot kitchens but I'm sure there is a way around that.
These views without driving up the hills for 40 minutes.
3. Fatima Jinnah Park.
Handling the developer mafia inside any park is a slippery slope but CDA can start with a small area & then review that after a year.
Even if we can't plant cherry or plum blossom trees, there are loads of corners that can function throughout the year.

One shouldn't need to give such silly "credentials" but I'm from an army family, I've headed @PASHAORG, am an investor in our IT sector & not a member of PTI
This is the real-world impact of blocking the internet & your actions:

A PK startup was raising funds in a major foreign city.
The investors liked them but asked how can PK just close the net for a week.
"I guess your whole country is like Indian Kashmir. Must be pretty hard to build anything. We'll wait & re-evaluate your market in 2024/25"

Dozens of startups & large businesses share such stories daily, as their global clients, partners & investors have started looking at backups & options outside PK, due to unpredictable internet blackouts & zero visibility on elections & $ instability
