How HideGPT works:
It perturbs each sentence while leaving the original meaning intact, until all traces of LLMs are gone. To do this, it uses a combination of NLP techniques, including paraphrasing with GPT4 and a fine-tuned version of Google’s T5 model from @huggingface.

An analogy: Imagine someone’s taking your fingerprint. With modern tech, it’s easy. But now, imagine you’ve layered your fingerprint with fingerprints from 5 other people — it’s muddied, and you can’t tell who’s who anymore. 
LLM vs. LLM detection technologies is gonna be an arms race, but in the end, as models become more and more powerful, their text generation will be indistinguishable from humans.
